I have accepted and gotten used to being like this and it will probably always be like this. Although there was an area where I was at the bottom in the past. Height ranking. 😂 When ranked by height, I don't lose the back row. 😂 Without further ado, let me move on to the place I will talk about today; Efe Midye.
Efe Midye is in a lively place in the middle of Küçükpark, Bornova. The road in front of this place is always crowded. Once, when I visited a friend who lived on this street, I saw this place and liked it very much. Although the liveliness of the street sometimes disturbs me, it is generally good. Sitting on a street with a flood of people, standing still, is like being a bridge in the middle of a flowing river. I think this is very "cool", the bridge. Sitting here is not so "cool". Because this is not a very well-known and popular place.
It is not my job or my problem to puzzle over why a business that is not getting attention is not getting attention. In fact, I like it better when the places I like don't get attention. It's selfish, I know, but when I go to a place I like, I don't want to be unable to find a place to sit or have poor service, because density and interest somehow lead to these results. For example, yesterday I went to a place I've posted about before, a place I love, and even though it was empty when I got there, they were going to kick me out because all the tables were booked. After I promised to get up early, they let me sit. It's like I owe the place. 😂
The fact that Efe Mussels is not a popular and well-traveled place has a bad consequence. The mussels are not very fresh. Because the circulation is low. There are 3 other tables set up every evening, apart from the table of the owner and his friends. When I sat here, there was no one else but me. One person came and sat for a while and left. Another thing I don't like here is that there is no toilet in the establishment. In a previous post, I mentioned the importance I attach to the toilet in the business. I understand that it is ridiculous that I still continue to go and love this place despite the fact that there is no toilet here and I attach importance to this issue. 😂 But I can use the toilet of the Selchik-servis restaurant next to this place. 😂
When I heard that this place was for sale for a while, I thought about buying it. But then I gave up. Maybe I would have gone bankrupt if I bought it. 😂 Nevertheless, this kind of business will always keep a vivid place in my imagination. Because I had already designed the system of this place in my head, mussel-beer. I think everyone who drinks beer likes this. At least, I like it a lot.
The system is as follows; you buy your beer or whatever you want to drink from the kiosk next door and drink it here. Each table has a bag of mussels, a bucket to throw the shells in, napkins and wet wipes. You can sit at the table and eat as many mussels as you want. When you get up, the owner counts the shells in the empty bucket, calculates how many mussels you have eaten and charges you. It is a bit more expensive than the mussels you can buy in packages. This is the price of the presentation and sitting at the table.
You can sit at the bar right across the bar and order mussels there while drinking beer. Or you can buy mussels from outside and take them there. However, the extra cost for mussels is much lower than the extra cost for beer. As someone who has tried both options, I prefer to sit at the mussel place. Apart from my wrong beer choice, everything was good. I hope this business model I have described will give some people an idea about the design and system. I wish everyone happiness...

Bu konuyla ilgili dün paylaşımıma eklemediğim emojileri hemen ekliyorum. ❤️🥬😂 Evet marulu buldum. 😂 Ben gene yarışmada, kazananlar ve kaybedenler arasında olamadım. 😂Hayatımın bütün alanlarında olduğum yerdeyim; ortanın sonu. 😂 Bu da benim kendime biçtiğim değer olsa gerek. Böyle olmayı kabullendim ve buna alıştım. Muhtemelen de hep böyle devam edecek. Gerçi en sonda olduğum bir alan oldu geçmişte. Boy sıralaması. 😂Boya göre sıralama yapıldığında, arka sırayı kaptırmam. 😂 Gevezeliğimi fazla uzatmadan, bugün anlatacağım yere geçeyim; Efe Midye.
Efe Midye, Bornova, Küçükpark’ın ortalarında, canlı bir yerde. Buranın önündeki yol, her zaman kalabalık. Bir dönem, bu sokakta oturan bir arkadaşıma geldiğimde, burayı görüp, çok beğenmiştim. Sokaktaki canlılık, bazen beni rahatsız etse de genel anlamda iyi oluyor. İnsan selinin aktığı bir sokakta, oturmak, sabit durmak, akan bir ırmağın ortasındaki bir köprü olmak gibi. Bence bu çok “cool”, yani köprü. Burada oturmak, o kadar da “cool” değil. Çünkü burası, çok da bilinen ve ilgi gören bir yer değil.
İlgi görmeyen bir işletmenin, neden ilgi görmediğine kafa patlatmak benim işim ya da sorunum değil. Hatta, beğendiğim yerlerin, ilgi görmemesi benim daha çok hoşuma gidiyor. Bu bencilce, biliyorum. Ama sevdiğim bir yere gittiğimde, orada oturacak yer bulamamak veya zayıf bir servis hizmeti almak istemiyorum. Çünkü yoğunluk ve ilgi bu sonuçları bir şekilde doğuruyor. Efe Midye’nin popüler ve çok gidilen yerlerden olmamasının, kötü bir sonucu da var. Midyeler çok taze olmuyor. Çünkü sirkülasyon az. Her akşam kurulan, işletme sahibi ve arkadaşlarının masası dışında 3 masa daha var. Ben burada oturduğumda, benim dışımda kimse yoktu. Arada bir kişi geldi ve biraz oturup gitti. Benim burada beğenmediğim bir diğer husus ise, işletmede tuvalet olmaması. Daha önceki bir paylaşımımda, işletmede, tuvalete verdiğim önemden bahsetmiştim. Burada tuvalet olmamasına ve benim bu konuya önem vermeme rağmen hala gitmeye devam etmemin ve burayı sevmemin saçma olduğunu anlıyorum. 😂 Ama buranın yan tarafındaki, Selçik-servis lokantanın tuvaletini kullanabiliyorum. 😂
Bir dönem buranın satılık olduğunu duyduğumda, satın almayı düşünmüştüm. Ama sonra vazgeçtim. Belki satın alsam batardım. 😂 Gene de bu tarz bir işletme hep hayalimde canlı bir yer tutmaya devam edecek. Çünkü buranın sistemini, ben daha önce kafamda tasarlamıştım. Midye-bira. Sanırım bunu, bira içen herkes sever. En azından, ben çok seviyorum.
İşletmenin sistemi şu şekilde; biranızı veya her ne içmek isterseniz, yan taraftaki büfeden satın alıp, burada içebiliyorsunuz. Her masada bir poşet midye, kabukları atmak için bir kova, peçete ve ıslak mendil var. Masaya oturup, dilediğiniz kadar midye yiyebiliyorsunuz. Kalkacağınız zaman, işletme sahibi, boş kovadaki kabukları sayarak, kaç midye yediğinizi hesaplıyor ve ücreti alıyor. Dışarıdan, paket halinde alacağınız midyelere göre biraz daha pahalı. Bu da işletmenin sunumu ve masasında oturmanın bedeli.
Buranın, hemen karşısındaki barda oturup, bira içerken , oraya da midye sipariş edebiliyorsunuz. Veya dışarıdan midye alıp oraya götürebiliyorsunuz. Ama midye için ödenen işletme bedeli fazlası, bir için ödenen işletme bedeli fazlasına göre çok daha düşük. Ben her iki seçeneği de deneyen birisi olarak midyecide oturmayı tercih ediyorum. Bu boş ama rezervasyonlu mekanların değişik bir havası oluyor, müşterilere çok kötü davranıyorlar. @bilginsalcuk ve bizim başımıza da böyle bir olay geldi. İnsana kendini kötü hissettiriyor böyle şeyler 😑
Midye hiç sevemediğim bir yiyecek sanırım halbuki sevebilmeyi çok istemiştim, üniversitesi de arkadaş çevremde çok yiyen vardı🤷♀️

Midyeler taze olmuyorsa sıkıntı olmuyor mu? Hayatımda bir kez midye denedim. Denediğime pişman oldum hiç beğenmedim. Çok ön yargılı bir şekilde denemiştim belki onun etkidir 😄
İlk denediğimde ben de beğenmemiştim. Sonra zamanla sevmeye başladım.
İlk biradan sonra tazelik aramıyorum. 😂
