The Safe House | Fiction Series

I was the first one to reach here, It was totally dark so I didn't know how much big or small the house is, there was a door open for me and I saw some yellow light coming out through that door, there was a slight rain, so I could see the light reflecting on the water droplets. I didn't have complete confidence that this was the house I want to arrive at, but I didn't want to run anymore in the darkness. As I entered the house, I completely closed the door and shut it, then I could see another door open in front of me, which was the entrance to the corridor, At the other end, I could see a candle placed at a table with a very low height.

I could feel that there is someone in that room, but there was no noise. I feared to call him in this silence, and lots of thoughts started passing through my mind. My mind was filled with scenes of horror movies where a killer comes from the darkness and stabs you. There was darkness on both sides of the corridor, It was hard for me to understand the width of it.

I reached the other side, I was very eager to look at both sides of the room. I know someone was waiting for me there on either of those sides, I looked at the left side first, but there wasn't much anything, there was a door and it was closed. I looked towards the right side, I could see a nose and two eyes, some light was reflecting on that face. Someone's watching something on his phone.

He waved his hand in an action which meant for me to sit down on the floor, there was no furniture in the room, the plane floor. I sat down on the wall facing the corridor. He was sitting on the left adjacent wall. I looked at him, now he is typing something on his phone, that seemed like something important. Then suddenly he locked the phone, now there was only one light source, the candle.

I miss her now...
