Hello everyone

Yesterday morning, at around 10:00 a.m., my husband and I embarked on an exciting journey to pick up his sister and niece from Rawai. The purpose of our adventure was to explore the wonders of Andamananda Water Park, nestled in the heart of Kathu District. However, the road to fun was paved with traffic challenges, and by the time we conquered the congested streets and reached the water park, the clock was inching towards noon.

As we approached the water park, remnants of the recently concluded Chinese New Year festival adorned the area. Colorful dragons and vibrant red lanterns lined the walkways, creating a festive and inviting atmosphere. We strolled down an aisle embellished with numerous red lanterns, making our way to the counter where we needed to present our reservation proof.

Having booked our tickets through Trip.com, we managed to snag a more budget-friendly deal compared to purchasing them at the counter. Before entering the water park, an employee diligently checked our bags, ensuring we weren't carrying any prohibited plastic items, including drinks. Once the security check was cleared, we were instructed to don snorkel masks, and in return, the staff handed us RFID wristbands – essentially our key cards for scanning and entering the water park.

With our wristbands securely fastened, we eagerly stepped into the aquatic wonderland, ready to make a splash and enjoy the attractions Kathu District had to offer at Andamananda Water Park.

Before plunging into the delights of the children's water park, we realized we needed swimming masks. Our quest for aquatic fun led us to the souvenir shop as our first stop. Stepping into the store, our eyes were met with an array of products proudly bearing the Andamananda Water Park logo.

The shelves were neatly stacked with a variety of merchandise, showcasing the vibrant spirit of the park. From shirts and bags to hats and shoes, the selection was diverse and tempting. Among the treasures on display was a collection of dolls, with one standout item – a dragon doll, proudly representing the symbol of Andamananda Water Park. Intrigued by the adorable mascot, we couldn't resist the urge to make a purchase.

With our swimming masks secured and a newfound dragon friend in hand, we were now armed with both essentials and a piece of the park's charm. Ready and excited, we ventured towards the children's water park, eager to embrace the playful moments that awaited us.

Exiting the souvenir shop, our eyes were immediately drawn to a grand gate that framed a captivating sight – the adorable dragon, the unmistakable symbol of Andamananda Water Park. Positioned just beyond the gate, the cute creature exuded charm and playfulness.

As we approached, we couldn't help but notice a fascinating feature. Every time someone walked by, the dragon would come to life, roaring with excitement and playfully spewing out white mist. It added an enchanting touch to the surroundings, creating a dynamic and interactive element that delighted visitors.

Andamananda Water Park sprawled across an extensive area of approximately 60 rai, designed with meticulous attention to detail, offering visitors a vast and varied experience. The sheer size of the park made it evident that this aquatic wonderland had much to explore.

On this particular day, the water park was bustling with an influx of tourists, creating an energetic and vibrant atmosphere. It seemed like a popular choice for families and adventurers alike. Recalling our last visit, which took place roughly two years ago, memories surfaced of a different scenario. At that time, the water park had just reopened after grappling with the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

During our previous visit, some zones were still undergoing renovations, a consequence of the pandemic-induced closure. It was a time of cautious reopening and rejuvenation for the water park. However, stepping into the present day, we were delighted to discover that all zones were now open and ready to offer their services. The park had not only recovered but had flourished into a full-fledged haven of aquatic delights. Excitement building, we eagerly embarked on our journey, ready to explore every corner of Andamananda Water Park and create new memories with our family.

Phuket was in the grip of scorching heat, the kind that made my skin tingle uncomfortably, despite having slathered on sunscreen. The sun beat down relentlessly, leaving no respite. Eager to escape the intensity, we decided to kick off our adventure at Andamananda Water Park by seeking refuge in the food park within its premises.

As we strolled through the water park, it became apparent that every available spot – be it a shaded bed or a comforting tree – had been claimed by the throngs of tourists seeking relief from the relentless sun. The popularity of the water park had turned it into a bustling hotspot, leaving little room for shade seekers.

We strategically made our way to the food park, knowing it would be a sanctuary from the sun and an opportunity to refuel before venturing into the rides. The park ingeniously featured two food gardens to disperse the crowd, providing a practical solution to the congestion issue. Moreover, food stalls were strategically scattered throughout each zone, ensuring that, no matter where we explored, a culinary oasis awaited us. Thus, armed with both sunscreen and a plan to navigate the heat, we indulged in a culinary pitstop, fortifying ourselves for the adventures that awaited in the vibrant and bustling Andamananda Water Park.
