A small ancient temple next to the Chiang Mai Bus Terminal.

Hello eveyone

On the last day in Chiang Mai, before checking out at the hotel, I booked a bus ticket to go to Tak Province. The bus time is 6:00 p.m., but we checked out at 11:00 a.m. and dragged our luggage around to see the atmosphere of Chiang Mai. Until my son complained that it was hot and tiring so I hitchhiked the bus. Which here is called a "red car" because the car is red to go to the arcade passenger terminal the fare is 40 baht per person.

Upon arriving at the bus station, passengers go to pick up their online-booked tickets. We had to wait several hours for the bus. So I took my son to make merit at Wat Ku Kham. Which is a temple next to the passenger terminal It is a beautiful small temple.

Wat Ku Kham has a very beautiful temple arch it is a large arched door decorated with golden Naga patterns. Above the arch is a beautiful Buddha image. You can see that the name of the temple is also in the Burmese language. Most northern Thai temples were also influenced by Burma. Wat Ku Kham is over 700 years old and is a very old temple.

When walking into the temple, you will see a statue of Phra Sivali who is a disciple of the Buddha's good fortune. Most Thai people pay homage to Phra Sivali and ask for good fortune.

Next to Phra Sivali, you will see a large Ganesha in which Thai people believe that Ganesh bestows fortune to those seeking blessings.

Then you will see a large beautiful golden pagoda surrounded by serpents and giants who guard the golden pagodas on all 4 sides.

Adjacent to the ordination hall, there is a large ordination hall with a statue of the Buddha in a striking posture. This area is the back of the ubosot which is in the west.

This is the front of the ordination hall at the railing on both sides are large Nagas that stretch along the stairs. Unfortunately, it is not possible to go inside. Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus, there have been many temples that have closed the ordination hall to the public. It is open to entering only on important Buddhist days.

The entrance door to the ordination hall on both sides is beautifully lacquered and gilded with angels. Above the door was a golden peacock dancing.

This is the side door of the ordination hall on the stairs leading up, a Naga is stretching along the railing. The doors and windows are also lacquered and gilded.

Wat Ku Kham is not a very big temple within the temple grounds is a school just like the Wat Puak Chang Temple I posted a few days ago. At that time, it was the semester break the atmosphere inside the temple is not crowded, so it was very quiet. For anyone who likes art that is delicate and beautiful can travel to Thailand Because each temple will have a different beauty. Wat Ku Kham, although it is an ancient temple, is more than 700 years old, but it is only a small temple. Not a popular tourist destination like many temples in Chiang Mai. Therefore, there are no tourists at all, even though it is next to the bus terminal. But for me, this temple is a very beautiful temple.
