The weather is scorching these days, and cafes are popular spots where people seek respite and sip on refreshing beverages to beat the heat. Today, I decided to take my son to "The Play Yard," a café near the airport in Mai Khao Subdistrict, situated by the sea. The entrance is rather modest, requiring a stroll through picturesque palm groves.

As you make your way along the entrance route, a dusty dirt road kicks up swirls of dust into the air with each passing car. However, as you draw closer to the cafe, a cream-colored building with a charming thatched roof comes into view, perched alongside the glistening sea. In front of the cafe stretches a spacious parking lot, offering convenience for visitors. Additionally, for those who harbor a love for sailing, there are sailboats available for rent, beckoning to adventurous souls eager to set sail upon the sparkling waters.

With the scorching heat weighing heavily upon us, my son and I hastily parked the car and made our way inside the cafe. As we swung open the door, we were greeted by the welcome relief of a high ceiling, and cool air conditioning enveloping us in comfort. The interior bustled with activity, with a diverse array of tables and chairs occupied by nearly every customer. To the left of the entrance, the food and drink ordering counter stood, beckoning with tantalizing offerings.

After placing our order for drinks and bakery items, the staff handed us a wireless queue calling system. We scanned the bustling café in search of an available table. Luckily, there was only one left, so my son and I hurried over to claim it. The café was divided into two zones: the indoor area where we decided to sit, offering relief from the oppressive heat with its air-conditioned comfort, and an open-air outside zone boasting a stunning view of the sea. Given the scorching weather, opting for the coolness of the air-conditioned room seemed like the most sensible choice.

As we waited for our turn, I couldn't resist capturing the ambiance of the café with my camera. The interior was adorned with charming decorations, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere, perfect for girls. Photography has always been a passion of mine, and I enjoy sharing moments like these on social media.

Before long, the wireless queue calling system chimed, signaling that our order was ready. We made our way to the counter to collect our drinks and bakery items, eager to indulge in the treats that awaited us.

The amber-hued Pineapple Smoothie and the yellow lemon cheese pie were a tantalizing duo of flavors. Savoring the sweetness of the pineapple puree, I was transported to sun-kissed shores, where tropical fruits abound. The subtle sourness added a delightful tang, perfectly complementing the sweetness.

As I indulged in the yellow lemon cheese pie, the creamy texture and zesty lemon flavor danced on my taste buds. The sweetness of the pie crust mingled harmoniously with the tartness of the lemon filling, creating a perfect balance of flavors that left me longing for another bite. Indeed, the combination of sweet and sour was a culinary delight that made every moment of indulgence truly memorable.

Sipping on my pineapple smoothie and relishing the tangy sweetness, I savored each refreshing gulp. As I enjoyed the creamy texture of the lemon cheese pie, I couldn't resist stealing glances outside at the tranquil scene.

Outside, the sky stretched out in a flawless expanse of blue, a perfect backdrop to the picturesque sight before me. Sailboats glided gracefully across the shimmering surface of the water, their sails billowing in the breeze like ethereal wings.

Deciding to fully immerse myself in the coastal ambiance, I grabbed my glass of pineapple smoothie and made my way outside. Stepping into the warmth of the sun, I was greeted by a gentle sea breeze that brushed against my skin.

At that moment, with the taste of pineapple on my lips and the beauty of the sea before me, I felt truly content. It was a scene straight out of a postcard, a moment of pure tranquility and serenity that I wished could last forever.
