Children's Day: Exploring the Wonders of Phuket FantaSea!

Hello everyone

Every Saturday of the 2nd week of January is regarded as National Children's Day in Thailand, and this year it falls on January 14th. To celebrate, both government agencies and the private sector organize a variety of activities for children to enjoy. These activities include giving gifts, providing food, snacks, and drinks, and encouraging children to express themselves through fun activities.

My husband and I decided to take our son to visit the Children's Day event at Phuket Fantasea. The event was held from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, so we left our home around 12:30 pm to grab lunch before heading to the event.

When we arrived at Phuket Fantasea, we were greeted by a large crowd of people also joining in on the Children's Day celebrations. But, we didn't have to worry about finding a parking spot as there was a very wide parking lot available to accommodate the number of cars of tourists and locals. The weather was hot and clear, with a beautiful mountain view in the background.

It was exciting to be back at Phuket Fantasea after it had been closed for almost 3 years due to the pandemic.

Adjacent to the car park on the left-hand side is CARNIVAL MAGIC, the ultimate family night out with carnival-style performances and parades, spectacular illuminations, games, fairs, fun activities, and buffet-style dinner restaurants. All this is located on over 100 rai (0.16 km2) of land in Phuket, which opened at the end of last year. We haven't been there yet, but we hope to visit one day. During the day, you can only see the front of the attraction.

Next to CARNIVAL MAGIC is Phuket Fantasea, which was hosting Children's Day activities such as dancing to music and giving out prizes when we visited. Many children were singing and dancing to the rhythm of the music. It was a lively and festive atmosphere, with children of all ages enjoying the fun activities.

The event was set to open at 2:00 pm, and we were excited to see what other activities and fun were in store for children and parents inside. On the right-hand side, near the entrance of Phuket Fantasea, there is a large pond filled with large koi fish swimming gracefully. The pond is surrounded by a beautiful waterfall and it is also decorated with characters from Thai literature such as Tosakan and the mermaid from Phra Aphai Manee. As we waited for the doors to open for the Children's Day event, we took photos around the pond.

We walked towards the pond and saw that it was a beautiful and peaceful spot. The koi fish swimming in the pond were so big and colorful, they seemed like they were smiling at us. The waterfall was also a highlight, the sound of the water falling was soothing and the view was mesmerizing.

We took some time to admire the pond and take some photos with the characters from Thai literature before we ventured into the event's main area. The pond was a great way to start our visit, it was a peaceful and picturesque spot that set the tone for a fun and memorable day.

When the doors opened for the Children's Day event, a large number of people poured in. The first thing that caught our eyes were the Welcome signs and cartoon models and colorful flowers. The area was beautifully decorated, and the children were excited to take pictures. The weather on that Saturday afternoon was hot and stuffy, but it didn't dampen the spirits of the children. They were full of energy and excitement, ready to enjoy the fun activities that awaited them.

As we walked into the event, we could see that there were many different areas set up for the children to enjoy. There were games, fairs, activities and created a lively and festive atmosphere. We could see that the children were having a great time, laughing and playing as they explored the different areas.

The event also had a clothing store and souvenirs for tourists. We could see many people browsing the store, looking for something to bring back home as a reminder of their visit. The store had a wide variety of clothing items, such as t-shirts, hats, and other souvenirs. We also noticed that they had a variety of items featuring the characters from Thai literature such as Tosakan and the mermaid from Phra Aphai Manee. We were impressed by the variety of items available, and the quality of the products.

We decided to buy some souvenirs for our friends and family back home as a way to share our experience with them. The store staff were friendly and helpful, and we had a great time shopping for souvenirs.

My son was thrilled when he got a keychain in the shape of a dolphin by participating in the event. He had earned it by participating in an event activity and was so excited to show us. He was so proud of himself and kept holding it tightly in his hands. It was a great way to make the experience more special for him and it made him even more excited to participate in other activities.

We also noticed that many people were sharing the page of Phuket FantaSea on social media platforms. They were excited to share their experience with their friends and family, and we could see that the event was gaining popularity among the visitors. We also decided to share our experience on our social media page, and we received many positive comments from our friends and family.

The event was not only fun but also had a lot of things to offer, and the keychain was a great souvenir for my son, and a reminder of the great experience we had at Phuket FantaSea.

And there was another zone that was a popular zone for children. The front of the zone was designed similarly to Ravana, with his mouth wide open, and the entrance was through his mouth. Inside, it was dimly lit but the floor, walls, clownfish, and the interior all glowed and reflected light. There were many games inside such as darts, basketball shooting, shooting, fishing, and many others. The interior was full of children who were having fun playing games.

It was great to see the children laughing and having a good time. These games were not only fun but also affordable, each game only costing 40 baht. It was a great way to keep the children entertained and make the experience even more special for them. The unique and interesting design of the zone added to the overall experience, making it more memorable.

After playing the games, we decided to go outside to explore the other interesting activities that Phuket FantaSea had to offer.

One of the most interesting things we saw at Phuket FantaSea was the palace of the elephants, it was beautiful and majestic. The palace is called "Wang Aiyara" and it is a theater that was created based on the legend of 999 elephant guards who have protected the Kamala Kingdom for thousands of years. The architecture is elegant with an ancient stone castle style that continues the story of the Kingdom of wonder.

I had the opportunity to watch a show here 11 years ago, it was a very beautiful show that I still remember to this day. The palace is lit up with lights and there is a spectacular show that takes place at night. But, during the daytime, the palace is quiet and solemn. Fortunately, Phuket FantaSea was open to children and parents, and we were able to visit the palace of the elephants during the day. It was great to see the palace in the daytime and admire the atmosphere.

We walked around the palace and took in the beautiful details of the elephant symbols and the ancient stone castle style. It was a great way to spend the day and we were glad to have had the opportunity to revisit the palace after many years. We will definitely come back again for the next Children's Day event and explore more of the other attractions that Phuket FantaSea has to offer. The palace of the elephants was truly a highlight of our visit and it was a great way to learn more about the history and culture of the Kamala Kingdom. The palace, the shows, and the atmosphere all made our experience truly unforgettable, we had a great time and we will definitely come back again.

Opposite the palace of the elephants is The Golden Kinnaree Buffet Restaurant, which usually caters to customers who buy tickets for shows and meals. However, during the Children's Day event, the restaurant opens its front area for children to have fun. The building is a Thai-style building painted with glittering gold, and it is located in the middle of a large pond. There is a beautiful golden Suphannahong boat moored near the walkway. The architecture focuses on Thai patterns and Kanok patterns, which are very beautiful.

We spent a wonderful time with our family at the Children's Day event at Phuket FantaSea. Around 3.45 am, it was almost time to finish the event and we decided to go home. Before leaving, I stopped by to use the bathroom first. The bathroom was located in the basement of a pink Thai-style house.

The interior was also highlighted in pink. The bathroom door was made of woven bamboo that formed a door. Near the gate was decorated with the head of a buffalo. I noticed that the color of the female bathroom buffalo head was pink and the men's bathroom was blue.

The interior of the bathroom was decorated in an ancient Thai style. Around the sink, there was a picture of a buffalo's head and when the water flowed from the buffalo's mouth, it was beautiful and a very creative idea. After that, we headed back home, feeling satisfied and happy with the fun-filled day we had at Phuket FantaSea.
