Paying respects to the Big Buddha, Phuket .

Hello everyone

Anyone who has ever traveled to Phuket has probably seen the huge big white Buddha on top of the Nakkerd Hills (between Kata and Chalong), right?

If anyone has seen it but has never visited it or if you didn't come yet to Phuket, follow me, I am your guide today 😁

I will take everyone to see the beauty of the big Buddha, known under the official name of Phra Phuttha Ming Mongkol Egnak Khiri and the amazing view at the top of the hill.

How to get to the Big Buddha

• From the city of Chalong, more precisely on Chao Fa Nok Road, 800 meters beyond Chalong Temple (another must-see place) turn right, you will see a small sign.

• You will be in Soi Yod Sanae (Soi mean street in Thai) at 6 km from the hills, stay on it until you arrive

Please be careful, a large part of the road is concrete slab and not asphalt and the way to NakKerd Hills is very steep and winding, making it difficult for the old tuktuks and old motorbikes.

It was the first time I drove our car to the top of Big Buddha (I am a newbie driver), which made my husband very proud when I told him where I went today when I got home 😊

Along the way to the top of the hill you will see many interesting place as restaurants with nice points of view, elephant camps where tourists can ride or feed the elephants, ATV Safari Adventure...

Also please be careful from the ATV as most of the drivers are foreigners who are often not used to driving them. The same goes for those who rent a car to go up the hill and who do not know the road or are not used to driving on the left side of the road, which may cause an accident.

The parking is large and has plenty of place shaded by big trees.

When you arrive you will first see the back of Big Buddha

If you forgot that you were going to visit a place that is above all a temple and that your outfit is inappropriate for this kind of place, the staff will propose you to borrow a shawl or cloth bags for free (you can also make a donation to the temple in gratitude).

At the entrance, there is a disinfectant spray booth for COVID-19 and measure your temperature.

There is also a map of the Mt. Nakkerd Buddha Garden.

Usually, this area is filled with shops selling food, drinks and souvenirs, but due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 virus, no tourists came to this temple for a long time, which caused many of the shops to close.

Now, only a clothing and souvenir shop is still open.

Next to the clothing and souvenir shop is the god of the Chinese.

Thi Nguan Soi (鐵元帥), or Titiankun (鐵天君), or Field Marshal Ti (鐵府元帥), was one of the Thirty-Six Heavenly Field Marshals (三十六天將之鐵頭元帥) and one of the Ten Tai. The Bo (東嶽十太保) of Tangkac Tai (東嶽大帝) serves to defeat demons and destroy various evil forces.

Phra Chi Kong is an arahant (one who has achieved nirvana) of the Mahayana Buddhism of Southern Zen Buddhism. Phra Chi Kong, who has supernatural powers, likes to help people who are going through difficult times, it's also a powerful monk. Any place where Phra Chi Kong has been is now a tourist destination.

Guan Yin a bodhisattva (who has made a resolution to become a Buddha) of Mahayana Buddhism. Guan Yin is the most revered Bodhisattva by Buddhists, his Highness had mercy on animals throughout the tribhum (a mythical land where humans and animals are unable to reach) to be freed from all suffering.

สวัสดีคร้าาาาาาาาาาา..... ใครที่เคยมาภูเก็ตแล้วเวลาที่ขับรถผ่านเส้นฉลอง ราไวย์ กะตะ และกะรน ถ้ามองขึ้นไปบนยอดเขาสูง ก็จะมองเห็นองค์พระสีขาวองค์ใหญ่ ตั้งตระหง่านอยู่บนยอดเขา นั่นก็คือพระพุทธมิ่งมงคลเอกนาคคีรีนั่นเอง หรือที่คนส่วนใหญ่เรียกขานกันว่าพระใหญ่ บางคนก็เคยขึ้นเขาไปกราบไหว้ขอพร หรือใครที่ยังไม่เคย ก็ตามโพสต์นี้ของบัวมาเลยจร้าาาาาาา....

เพราะบนเขานอกจากจะได้ไหว้พระทำบุญ อิ่มบุญแล้ว ยังได้ชมวิวสวยๆ แบบ 360 กันเลยทีเดียว จุดนี้สามารถมองเห็นอ่าวฉลองทั้งอ่าว และมองเห็นหาดกะตะ กะรนแบบไกลๆ สุดลูกหูลูกตากันเลยทีเดียว บริเวณนี้ทางวัดกั้นรั้วสูง ป้องกันอันตรายที่เกิดพลัดตกลงไปด้านล่างได้ ปลอดภัยแน่นอน ถ้าไม่ซนพยายามปีนออกไปด้านนอก

สำหรับการเดินทางมาที่นี่ก็ไม่ยาก ไม่ยากเล้ยยยยย..... บัวหลงมาแล้ว 555 เมื่อวานสดๆ ร้อนๆ ขับรถวนไปวนมา เพราะเคยมาล่าสุดเมื่อเกือบ 2 ปีที่แล้ว มันคลับคล้ายคลับคลา เลี้ยวรถเลยจร้าาาาาา.... กว่าจะหาทางออกเจอมาตั้งหลักใหม่ ทีนี้ตั้งจีพีเอสเลย เลี้ยงเข้าซอยยอดเสน่ห์หา ขึ้นเขาไปประมาณ 6 กิโลเมตร ทางก็จะชันๆ หน่อยๆ บางช่วงก็จะแคบ ทางที่ดีคือทางลาดยาง 555 รถอะไรก็สามารถไปได้หมด ขอให้รถแรงนิสนุง

พอขึ้นมาถึงข้างบนนี้รับรองไม่ผิดหวังแน่นอน รับรองเห็นวิวสวยๆ แล้วคุ้มและหายเหนื่อย ถึงแม้ว่าแดดจะแรง แต่ลมแรงกว่า พัดเย็นสบายอยู่นะ ช่วงเน้.... โควิดอะนะ นักท่องเที่ยวก็ไม่เยอะมาก ถ่ายรูปสบายๆ ไม่มีใครมาขวางทางกล้อง 555

ชอบภาพนี้ม๊วกกกก..... บัวถ่ายย้อนแสง พญานาคดูน่าเกรงขามดี

บัวถ่ายรูปมาเกินร้อยรูปอ่ะ เห็นอะไรก็ถ่ายไว้ก่อน คุ้มค่าจริงๆ ติดอยู่นิดเดียวเหมือนจะมีหมอกจางๆ ทำให้มองเห็นภาพอ่าวฉลองไม่ชัดเท่าไหร่

On the top of the hill, you will see the view from the base of the Buddha statue, which is a 360-degree viewpoint.

You will be able to see all around Phuket. including the islands, Kata Beach, Karon Beach and Chalong Bay.

It is a white statue of Buddha in the posture of submission of Mara located in a setting of striking beauty. It is made of reinforced concrete decorated with Burmese jade white marble.

วัดพระใหญ่เป็นวัดที่สวยงาม นักท่องเที่ยวทั้งชาวไทย และต่างชาติ ต่างนิยมมาเที่ยว กราบไหว้ขอพรกันไม่ขาดสาย จะซาๆ ก็ช่วงตอนที่มีโควิดระบาดหนัก แต่ตอนนี้เปิดประเทศแล้ว และก็เริ่มมีนักท่องเที่ยวเดินทางมาเที่ยวพอสมควร

วัดพระใหญ่ชื่อนี้เป็นที่รู้จักทั่วไป ตั้งอยู่บนเขานาคเกิด ตำบลกะรน อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดภูเก็ต ยอดเขานาคเกิดเป็นยอดเขาที่สูงม๊วกกกกก..... ขึ้นมาข้างบน ทำให้เราสามารถมองเห็นรอบๆ เกาะกันเลยทีเดียว

นี่เป็นช้างเอราวัณ ตั้งอยู่บริเวณฐานพระใหญ่ ซึ่งรอบๆ ฐานก็จะมีพระประจำวันเกิด ตั้งอยู่รอบๆ ฐาน เพื่อให้ประชาชนสามารถทำบุญประจำวันเกิดตัวเองได้

มุมนี้จะมองเห็นวิวภูเขา และตึกรามบ้านช่อง เป็นจุดชมวิวที่สวยอีกจุดหนึ่งเลยค่ะ ตอนแรกบัวพยายามเซลฟี่ตัวเองแล้ว แต่หน้ามันบานเกินไปก็เลยไม่ออกสื่อ 555

บริเวณนี้ก็จะมีรอยพระพุทธบาทด้วยค่ะ

The tradition in recreating these patterns has been passed on for thousands of years for faithful Buddhists to realize the great contribution of the buddha who has achieved enlightenment and propagated the Dharma to the public. Besides, some patterns are natural ones that resemble these patterns so much that they are believed to be evidence of the Buddha's spiritual influence on nature and worshipped because of such.

ที่วัดนี้เป็นจุดรวมพระพุทธรูป หรือสิ่งศักดิ์ไว้มากมาย

บริเวณนี้เป็นต้นโพธิ์ใหญ่ ลมเย็นมากๆ เวลาลมพัดจะได้ยินเสียงแผ่นโพธิ์สีทองกระทบกันเสียงน่าฟัง

มีพระพุทธรูปประดิษฐานอยู่ใต้ต้นโพธิ์ใหญ่

มองขึ้นไปด้านบน ก็จะเห็นแสงพระอาทิตย์สาดส่องลงมา ต้องบอกว่าบริเวณนี้เย็นมากๆ เย็นกาย เย็นใจ

หลังจากที่เดินขึ้นมาทางฝั่งบันไดพญานาค ทีนี้บัวก็จะลงอีกด้านหนึ่ง ศาลานี้เป็นศาลาพระแม่ธรณีบีบมวยผม

บริเวณนี้ก็จะมีบันไดทางเดินเล็กๆ อยู่ใต้เงาร่มไม้ใหญ่ อากาศจะไม่ร้อนเหมือนกับ บันไดพญานาค ซึ่งบริเวณนั้นไม่มีต้นไม้เลย อากาศก็จะร้อนนิดนึง แต่ก็มีลมพัดมาช่วยคลายความร้อน

บันไดนี้ก็จะยาวไปถึงด้านล่าง ช่วงนี้นักท่องเที่ยวไม่เยอะ ก็เดินถ่ายรูปสบายๆ แต่หลังจากนี้อาจจะมีนักท่องเที่ยวมาเที่ยวเยอะ เพราะบัวดูเที่ยวบินที่บินมาภูเก็ต ก็หลายเที่ยวต่อวันอยู่เหมือนกัน

เดินลงมาด้านล่าง ก็จะเป็นคล้ายๆ ศาลาการเปรียญ จะมีพระนั่งอยู่ภายใน 1 รูป เพื่อรอญาติโยมมาทำบุญ มาถวายสังฆทาน หรือสนทนาธรรม นี่เป็นพระสิวลี ซึ่งบัวเคารพมาก เป็นหนึ่งในอัตคสาวก พระพุทธเจ้าทรงยกย่องท่านเป็นเอตทัตคะผู้เลิศกว่าพวกภิกษุผู้มีลาภ

บริเวณนี้ก็เป็นจุดทำบุญอีกที่หนึ่งเหมือนกัน ใครที่ชอบพกเหรียญมา สามารถมาทำบุญที่นี่ได้
