Dusty Rag - Tuba Skinny guitar cover

avatar
(Edited)

Hello everyone !

I offer a small cover of Dusty Rag (1908, May Aufderheide) that I've made in recent times! Guitar, banjolele, washboard
To tell the truth, I discovered this song thanks to this excellent video

www.youtube.com/watch?v=7c7Zi00kctM

and I clearly loved this version of Tuba Skinny! Tuba Skinny always Tuba Skinny .... :)

Hope you enjoy !

And for more info on the composer of this superb rag, it's here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/May_Aufderheide

Hello, @road2horizon - I commend you on your good taste! I love this music, this guitarist, this new Steemian, a French native, and I'm scheming and plotting to get my son @mvkean to fly to Europe on a jazz tour one of these days/years, with stops in small French towns and villages to play improv in other genres, like #gypsyjazz and yes, #KLEZMER! (don't run away screaming @mvkean). Steemit is making the big world a little smaller, as in bringing together #face2face all these scattered creators across the globe. Just ask @rhondak, who finally got out of Appalachia thanks to a Steemfest where she met a French Steemian and is now living in the UK. I don't wanna jinx her with "happily ever after," but I'm not superstitious, so I'm gonna say Steemit can lead to happy endings for those who pay their dues, and beyond our wildest dreams! But you aready know that

haha you're right @carolkean, steemit makes the world small and, if we keep our eyes and hearts open, it offers many possibilities! I hope to see you one day with your son in some small French town playing jazz and enjoying the life ;-)) have a good day

You won a curie!! WOOT!!!
I'm so glad your talent is quickly being discovered by Steemians. Another way to share the wealth (your talent, that is) is to post a link to your posts on other social media, (for all I know, you already do), e.g. @curie's Proof of Share intiative

All you have to do as a content creator is share your works onto Twitter with the hashtag #steem #steemit or #steempeak depending on which front-end you use by default. Of course you can also add other tags relevant to your content. After you've shared it, just write down a comment under your post with a link to the tweet, our curators will confirm that it's shared and you will receive a bigger vote than you would have originally from @ocd and/or @ocdb. In your post, use the #posh tag so we can find you even though we may not follow you with @ocdb yet or if you aren't using the #oc tag.

Off to see if I can share your post there now!
