Great opportunity for Leothreads with the new twitter change

I was very surprised to see the new icon for Twitter. The bird icon was far better and they have now renamed Twitter to X and the icon has also changed. I don't know what kind of move it is but the internet is sharing the feedback on these new branding changes. I wouldn't say it is a great move or a bad move but I'm sure Elon is planning something big with these branding changes or at least attempting to do something big.

Ever since Twitter was acquired, there have been a lot of changes to Twitter. From what is happening, many people shared their opinion saying that Elon just wanted to throw Twitter into the trash and the main intention of the acquisition was only that. It is just that he is doing it little by little. But still, something makes me feel that he wouldn't do a huge change like a branding change without something in mind.

Opportunity for other microblogging platforms

We used to wonder if web3 can take over microblogging from web2. The change that happened today has paved the way for this. Leo Threads were already doing a great thing and many micro-blogging platforms were doing a great job. There was a super boss called Twitter that was ruling the micro-blogging world. With this change, I personally think that Twitter might have dug its own grave.

I would say this is an awesome move unless he starts throwing Dogecoin to everyone who is tweeting from now on. But if this is going to change the preference for people, Leo Threads can have a great opportunity now. There are so many advantages people have in using Leothreads. If Twitter is going to change its name, I would consider Twitter starting its new journey with the new name. Leothreads is also pretty new to this world that is functional on web3. We two things are starting its journey together, I believe there is a fair chance for Leothreads to outperform X.

I see a lot of negative tweets on Twitter about this change. The bird image looked very good and many people have been trending tags that say they don't welcome this change. As I said earlier, change is good but only if it is going to make a difference for people using it. If it is going to spoil the experience people enjoyed so far, it may not be a wise change.

Something from the history

Once upon a time, Orkut was very famous and we all started there. Back then when we were very active on Orkut, I personally thought that Orkut was best and friendly to use. The main reason was that we were all used to it. Then later some people started trending on Facebook. Initially, when I tried Facebook, I did not like it and thought I would never use Facebook because Orkut was still great.

Many people started moving to Facebook from Orkut. Even though it was very famous it did not matter. Even though the initial days for Facebook were not well, it still did not matter. Slowly it gained popularity and ruled the social media world. Twitter started becoming famous only afterward. I did not like Twitter and I thought the drawback Twitter had was the short blogging thing. But later it was the most attractive feature for many people.

So if we look at history, there have been consistent changes in the past and people still adapt to these changes. Now is the time for Leothreads to show the world the possibility of microblogging and earning in the web3 platform and it should take Hive to the next level.
