My Hive Goals - Weekly progress report

Today I'm very happy and glad to share that I have successfully completed one of my goals of reaching 50k Hive power. This is one of the top goals I had for this year. I was expecting it to naturally get completed before the year but fortunately, it was completed sooner than expected which is a very good thing. I'm sure my consistent push towards completing the goal was one of the biggest reasons and another biggest reason was the price of Hive. Luckily the price of Hive went down helping me gain more Hive as a reward. The fruit from this will be evident when the price of Hive is back above 1$ again.

Many people want Hive to be back to 1$ again. Something makes me feel that Hive should stay like this for some more time so that we can all earn enough liquid Hive from author rewards. After it is boosting back again, the liquid Hive we get from the post rewards might go down because of the value of Hive. I mean in terms of quantity.

50k Hive Power

This was my goal to complete 50k Hive power before the end of the year. We still have one more month left and I have already completed the goal. When I set this goal, I already knew that I would complete it sooner than expected. I even doubted if I should be aiming for Orca instead of focusing on 50k Hive Power. I guess for orca status we would need close to 55k Hive power if I'm not wrong. Maybe in the next 3 months, I might as well reach that. Let's see how it goes. For now, I'm glad that I have reached 50k hive power and completed this goal.

Looking at the above chart the author's rewards were a little better compared to last week. I guess the price of Hive has improved a little bit and that could be one of the reasons for this. The curation rewards also need some improvement. I'm glad that I'm getting a decent curation reward every month and that is also contributing to my Hive power. At this rate, I think I would be able to double my Hive power before the end of next year. Let's see how it goes. I'm planning have a goal to reach 75k Hive power before the end of next year. Just thoughts and nothing set in stone. Maybe I will set something in stone after a month.

100k SPS

Well, this is still going to be one of the toughest goals for me. The reason is that I have not been earning anything by playing the game. I'm relying only on the SPS I get as staking rewards and whatever I purchase from the market. In the last few weeks, I have been purchasing SPS from the market from the Hive I earn from selling my GLX rewards. I still don't know if this is a good move or not but maybe this is good and an extra source of income. If GLX is going to be good, I would again buy it back after the price goes down further.

My SPS stake had a decent increase. I sold the vouchers I had with me and converted them to SPS and staked them. That is contributing to and increasing my overall SPS holdings. I might have to buy a lot of SPS to complete the goal before the end of the year. Let's see.
