Switched from Termius to Termix
I have been using Termius for quite some time and like it, but as my needs have grown, I want a better tool that lets me use the same setup across devices without issues. This is when I was reading articles yesterday, and someone suggested using Termix. The name looks similar, but it is an open-source tool built for the same purpose. My needs were to SSH to multiple hosts. This Termix was even better, as I can host it myself and do it from my own server. Now I don't have to share any of my credentials with anyone. This is what made it very interesting for me.

Today I spent a lot of time exploring Termix and Tailscale for my Homelab. I thought I would self-host Termix on my home lab Raspberry Pi itself, and it went very well. I should admit that having ChatGPT for guidance was the best because it was able to give me all the instructions clearly, and when I followed everything, it was all good. The main thing is that I was able to follow all the commands one by one, which is what made it easier for me.
Apart from just connecting via SSH, it also has a lot of other features that I'm trying to explore one by one. The good thing about this tool is that it is available in the browser itself, so I don't have to install any special application to use this. When I googled, there was also one application suggestion. I still have not checked it out yet. Looks like there is an application in the Play Store, probably for this, but have to check this out. I'm happy to just use it from my browser for now. It is not very bad.
Ever since AI made things easier, we are getting so many alternative tools like these, which are highly competitive with the paid products, and the features are also very great. Hopefully, I wish I could build a similar product in the future someday.
