Top 30 Organic Engagement through Comments - 17-05-2020
On Hive, we talk a lot about engagement and some of our top authors and stakeholders are also taking lots of initiatives to create more engagement on the Hive blockchain. Engagement comes through reading many posts from other others and adding valuable comments on their posts. I wanted to pull out this data every day from the blockchain and make a post so that authors who are adding more comments and engagement will get motivation.

To start with I had to do lots of manual review work to get rid of the accounts that are either an automated commenting account or spam accounts that add random comments to spam. I came up with the below list of accounts that I have ignored from my report.
@hivebuzz, @actifit, @tipu, @beerlover, @esteemapp, @bdvoter.cur, @vimm, @hivewatcher, @hivewatchers, @pinmapple, @qurator, @likwid, @sor31, @fgh87, @jkl65, @vmn31, @w95hj', @xcv47, @x6oc5, @asd09, @zxc43, @w7ngc, @wiv01, @pixresteemer, @russellstockley, @investinthefutur, @c-squared, @yakovinvest, @dsc-r2cornell, @piratedice, @questbot, @anonramblingscom
The intention of this post is to showcase some of the authors showing good engagement in the Hive community. I'm posting these stats every day so that whales and high stakeholders can have an eye on them and reward their posts and comments.
Congratulations to @trincowski, @galenkp, and @blazing for reaching First, Second and Third positions yesterday.
If you find any discrepancy in the above list or any accounts that are not supposed to be in that list, please let me know in the comments.
nice work.
Thanks bro. 😀
I didn't know about this ranking, I strongly believe in the iteration among users. thanks for mentioning me!
Yes, it is iteration among all the users. 😀
Thanks for the mention much appreciated for collecting this info 👍
You are welcome. 😀 You might end up on my report every day if you keep engaging like this. 👍
Thank you @bala41288 will certainly do my best 👍
Cheers 👍
It would be great if everyone on your list came over and joined the Engagement League! https://esteem.app/engagement/@abh12345/4cva69-the-hive-engagement-league
All you have to do is leave a comment saying you would like to join.
Yes, that's right. I would recommend that. I just joined the league recently. Asher told that he will be adding me to the list. 😀
Oh good! I do well some weeks, but I've gotten busy with other things this week and don't feel like I am commenting very much.
I make a lot of comments, but on Asher's list the length of the comments come into play, and most of mine are short. I have to make myself remember to be more chatty!
lol ya. I used to be a chatty guy as well. Finding time for this hard for me as well. But one good thing about my comments is that it is always a bit lengthy. I have been commenting a lot lately. Let's see how my data looks like in the coming week. 😀 All the best to you as well. You are already doing a great job in terms of engagement.
I get burnt out if I try to do too much, so I try to limit my time here. Right now I am reading a good novel and that helps me stay a little more balanced!
I'm not very good at reading books. I can't pay attention to one task for a long time. Ya I agree that too much of something is also not very good. We get exhausted easily. Good luck with your reading. Kudos. 😀
I am a reader.. have been since I was a kid. I'm not much of a TV watcher, other than an occasional movie that someone has recommended. I finished the book I was reading last night before I went to bed, and then this morning started a new one. Now I am trying to get caught up here!
Oh wow that was pretty fast. I actually watch lots of movies and TV series. From my childhood I wished to be a reader. I have even tried it being in library most of the time. But I couldn't read. You won't believe that I have a huge collection of books at my house but I haven't read a single book. Reading books is a skill that I'm always dreaming about acquiring. 😀😉
Good luck with your new book. Cheers!
The new book I am reading is book 8 in a series that I enjoy. I like the characters and the town in France where the story takes place, so I already know that I will enjoy this one. It's like dropping in on old friends
My dad was a reader. Maybe I inherited it from him...or at least he taught me an appreciation of reading!
I have bookshelves filled with books even though I do all of my reading on my Kindle now.
Yes it can even be an inherited skill. My sister reads lots of books on her Kindle but she used to tell me that it is never as good as reading physical books. 😀
I agree, but the older I get the more I appreciate being able to make the font big enough to see!
ha ha ha 😀
Missed it today, it would be nice to see the number of words or characters each of the top 30 are producing. Might be a fair deal to know who writes more.
That's a good recommendation. I will try to add that to the list. If you come up with some other reporting ideas, do let me know I can add that as well. 😀
Yes, it can be like Number of Words, total number of people talked, total payout pending (this is just to show that comment can be a good source of payment too rather than always posting). I guess that's it.
I did add two more additional columns to the report today. Total pending payout and total characters. 👍
Looks great
Cool 👍
