Top 5 reasons why money can bring Happiness

avatar

It is said that happiness is the ultimate thing for every human being. There is always a question if money can give us everything we need in our life. But the answers are mostly around saying that money cannot give us everything. But there are a few things that money can give us definitely. This article is going to talk about the top 5 reasons why money can bring us happiness in our life. We all work a lot to earn money. We are able to see many people continue to work even after they have enough money with them. Those are all still a puzzle and perspectives each individual have.

Financial security

Everybody needs financial security. When my father was admitted to the hospital during Covid, I was in a very bad financial situation. Having enough money to cover basic needs, such as food, shelter, and healthcare, can bring peace of mind and reduce stress. This can lead to greater overall happiness. Apart from this, we might as well look for more security in terms of an emergency situation and if that is also sorted, we get more happiness.

Freedom and ability to pursue passions and interests

People have so many dreams. Some people are just dreamers and not doers because they won't be having enough money to do what they dream of. Having money can allow individuals to pursue hobbies and interests that they may not have been able to afford before, leading to a greater sense of fulfillment and satisfaction. I still personally have some things I wanted to do since my childhood. I hope I should be able to do it someday after I have enough money and I can say for sure that those things can bring me happiness.

Improved relationships

Relationships are sometimes very complicated and demand so much. Having money can make it easier to maintain and strengthen relationships, for example by being able to afford to travel to visit family and friends or by being able to afford nice gifts for loved ones. This will not only bring happiness but also improve the quality of our life.

A sense of control and empowerment

This is mostly for people who want it and I guess not for everyone. Having money can give individuals a sense of control over their lives and the ability to make decisions that align with their values and goals. Some people even try to gain this control and empowerment over others as well because they are rich enough. To a level just an individual alone is good I think but with others I think is a personal choice.

Ability to give back

People always wish to give back. Charity works give lots of happiness. It is said that when the money spent on other than for our own needs has more value and brings more happiness to us. Having money can allow individuals to give back to their communities and make a positive impact on the lives of others. This can bring a sense of purpose and fulfillment.

On a final note, it's worth noting that having money doesn't guarantee happiness, and the relationship between money and happiness is complex. People who have more money tend to be happier than those who have less, but after a certain point, additional money doesn't lead to greater happiness. Furthermore, happiness is subjective, what makes one person happy may not be the same for another person. There are so many people in this world who are very poor but still very happy. Some people even think that if their basic needs alone are secure they don't need anything more and stay happy.

I am of the notion that money can give you happiness, the feeling of being able to afford whatever it is you want and need, is happiness on another level, what money can't buy, more money will buy it, lol!

My wife donate clothe, food and sometimes money to charity and schools in the countryside, I think the only thing that more money than I can spend improve in my life would be ability to give back, Im a lonely person so Im not after power or fame, for me there is nothing else that money can improve, just want peace, thx for sharing ✌️

The problem is once you start taking the wealth for granted, then you become less happy. Think about how people who are born into money take it for granted vs those who have to work their whole lives for it.
