Sunday Tunes: Christy Tribute.(Yoruba, Igbo, and English).

Greetings Hive Music Lovers!!!

Sunday came earlier than expected and I have to confess I am very tired, my bone is weak and all I just want right now is to stay offline but, I have made a promise to always share Sunday tunes and despite all that I feel, I couldn't help my hands picking up my phone to write something meaningful as usual and bringing another artiste to light while at it.

Sadly, the artist that I am about to present to you is already dead, but her music sends so much message to the listeners.

She is an African Nigerian, and although she wasn't a Yoruba, which is one of the major ethnic groups in Nigeria, she still sang a song in Yoruba that sends a vital message to us, and another in Igbo which is also a major ethnic group in the country.

But, before we edge forward to her songs, let's get to know her.

Christiana Uduak Essien-Igbokwe was a Nigerian musician and actress. She was born in the year 1960 on November 11th, which was some weeks after Nigeria gained independence(October 1st 1960) but she died in the year 2011, June 30th.

She was called "Nigeria's Lady of Songs", which was gotten from her songs "Seun Rere" and all other songs of hers two of which I'll share today in addition to "Seun Rere".

Her birthday could have been yesterday if she were alive. However, that shouldn't stop us from lightening up a candle in tribute to this amazing soul.

I hope you get to enjoy her song like I did, and I also hope it reminds you of how life is and helps with our actions to others.

Her accent is surely one of a kind, don't you agree? Hehe, it reminds me of some Micheal Jackson tune.
