The Suffocation It Brings.

Last week, I had my moment with something that I could have avoided. Well, I had no one to blame for it than myself, and I regretted my action. But at the time the action was carried out, it felt right, and then it did not. It was disastrous!

I am not the type considered a foodie. I eat so little that it pains me, especially when I cook something really nice. The urge and thought to finish it all right away is tempting, but my stomach mocks me. Sometimes, it seems just inhaling the food is enough for my stomach, and I find it crazy. You do, too, right?

However, I broke the seal last week with... Overfeeding! Yes, I overfed myself a meal I made. I was so hungry that I just kept eating even when I knew I was full. And the moment I finally left the plate to breathe, I realized I was stuck with breathing. "This is bad." I thought, and my whole body agreed with me. I suffered for it for some time before I was okay. I made an example of myself with a well-known statement and it was pitiful to feel it.

I have heard the phrase, "Too much of everything is bad" a thousand times without saying it. It is like living in the part of the world where something like that happens. In my world, corruption is at its peak. Government officials do things that are obvious and dare you to question them. It is insane because if you do, they either ignore you, which is good, or give answers that will make you question your intelligence.

There's a need for simplicity in our lives. Our forefathers lived that life and passed it down to us, which is a good thing. However, when it is done at an extreme level, then it becomes suffocating. It rises above the word, Dangerous and we need to be careful not to fall into this like I did last week.

When there's simplicity comes a sweet beauty attached to elegance. But there are people who take simplicity to a far end and live a miserable life because of it. They believe they are doing themselves a favor by it and edge towards it. But the truth I know and felt is that extremity brings lots of suffocation. It brings things that could have been avoidable mentally, financially, physically, and whatnot.

Being a minimalist doesn't mean you have to live life like you are the poorest amongst the poorest individuals in the world. I do not know about you and you. But the word, Minimalism hold a meaning dear to my heart. It is the spark that reminds me of not just the beauty, smell, and waves of the ocean, but a memory of someone gone too long.

Life with simplicity is less troubled. Having nature by your side, meditating and knowing what to get, and so much more. There's no stress nor agony in it. It is pleasing to see and to be felt as well, but with extremity, it is far worse.

Still yours truly,
Balikis.

Thanks for reading.

Peace be unto those who crave it and more to those who chase it away.

Being a minimalist doesn't mean you have to live life like you are the poorest amongst the poorest individuals in the world.

That's very true.
Minimalism is being content with what you have and making the most of what you have. That doesn't mean that if you see something that you love and want to treat yourself, you shouldn't go for it.

Your eating habit sounds like it's the norm for you. As long as you're not deprived of nutrients and you feel strong and healthy, then that's quite a bonus.

I do have a healthy appetite, but I hate and never eat until I feel stuffed. It's an uneasy feeling that I do not like:)

Yes, that contentment must be there. Yeah, there's nothing bad in treating oneself to something good once in a while.

Haha. It is. I am the only one in my family that don't eat much, the others eat so much that I wish to be like them, but I still am me in that context😂😂.

Haha.. I get you. I feel that way, too. Thanks for stopping by with your thoughts on this.

Interesting post. What comes to me is that it is good to know what the basics of life are and not to exhaust yourself to get banal things, but this is not the same as living in misery, I do not know if you understand what I mean, but here I leave it. A hug

Yeah, I kinda get your thoughts on this. Being able to get things you need is really nice as long as you aren't living life like a charity case.

That's what I understand by what you said.

I wish I had self-discipline as you do.
One could really lose it by just looking at the picture of the food.
But reading your post makes me feel guilty for over eating often.
Minimalism it is. ❤️

I agree with you. The extremes suffocate, it is true that simplicity gives us a lot of well-being but at the extreme we reach misery. That is not being minimalist but we have mental poverty and that is terrible.

I loved reading you 🤗🤗

Its really appetizing @balikis95 . I love food especially those stuffed with vegetables which does not cost much though.

Keep it real, eating at intervals is the best way to enjoy meals, this way we can eat bit by bit which does not make us over eat.

Food is one of the basic necessities of life, if not the most important. Minimalism helps make things simple for us.
Happy weekend.

Yeah.. food is life!🥲

That's true. I hope that works for me, though.

Thanks for your input on this. I am deeply sorry for the late reply. I thought I had responded earlier.

(Edited)

Anyone who can not spend on themselves and let themselves suffer in the name of being a minimalist, such a person just enjoy being a suffering head. Lol

A minimalist idea is to keep it simple and still get the best.

I have a cousin who does not like eating and sometimes it affects her. I hope that you are at least eating enough that can sustain you well enough. !LUV
