This is my response to the Weekend-Engagement prompt(Saturday).

A lovely thanks to @galenkp for coming up with this contest despite all you are going through right now. I hope you do get better.

It is my first time joining this contest so Yay 🥳🥳🥳.

Topic: You're unique(What makes you uniquely you? Explain your answers with examples).

I'll start this with my name, Balikis, I know many have the name and own it with pride. They are undoubtedly thousands of Balikis out there but they can't fit into this (Balikis). We may have the same color of hair, skin color, height, religion, and resemblance but you surely can tell us apart.
Let's dive into some things that make me unique.

• My character:
  I am an extrovert/introverted kinda person with a top-notch crazy personality.
  It was not that funny but I laughed when my grandma died 15 years ago, it was a terrible day for the family and I was sad too, but the moment people started coming in with different tones of cries I busted out laughing like a maniac. I was taken out by my friends and the family almost had my brain tested at the hospital. I had also pushed my friends into a daring game where we think of a number and then dial it and the person who gets to dial it correctly and has the person pick wins, my friend do agree and it was always fun, and there we will be, hoping we might dial the president's number or a hot dudes number🤣🤣 lol.

• My finger/footprint:
  My thumb may look like others but the print is surely different from others. That's why I do have colleagues of mine raising my finger to use the print for my phone.

• Party-pooper:
  This isn't funny but I ' poop on parties ' 😂😂😂, oh sorry that came out wrong. I mean I...phew let me cite an instance to cover up.
  I like parties, no doubt but my Balikis has a problem though, my friends know this, any party we are been invited to and I end up talking about how fun it'll be or how I'll rock it, I end up not attending. I don't know why, but certain unforeseen circumstances prevent me from attending and I end up missing out. So the moment my friends call or we talk about attending a party and I start talking, they know I won't be present but the moment I don't show much interest in it, they know there's a 60% chance I attend.

• My heart:
  My heart differs from others because of what it has endured and still enduring and how it beats and overcome unforeseen circumstances. An instance below:
  While in the university then, I had a roommate for my first year, I was the hustling type and was hardly home as I needed money to pay rent and cover up other things. My department was crazily filled with assignments and after days of ending one which was submitted on Monday, I went to my hostel to rest before I begin the day's work. I was the type that when I am home no one knows because I love quietness and privacy, the door to my room only uses a key, no padlock and it has a lock at the back. My shoes were kept inside to prevent anyone from knowing I am in.

After some minutes I heard some of my hostel mates talking about other girls and all like they always do, then they moved up to mine, things said about me were ugly and wasn't to be told to any human. They said hurtful things but I just stayed in without uttering a word, minutes later came in my roommates and they discussed more of me.

It was when my roommate excused herself to change so they'll continue was when they realized I was in. They quickly scramble off their feet when my roommate called my name, I stood up and watch how they stammered not knowing what to say, I smiled and ask them if they'd seen a recent movie then and spoke about it with them. They were uncomfortable and kept staring at me but I ignored their stares acting like I never heard their words.

One of them became sick weeks later and I was with her all night took care of her and also cooked for her while her friends just came in to even eat and just told her to be strong. When the sickness became intense, I called her fiance and he came over to pick her up, before she was taken to the hospital, she called for me and cried, telling me she was sorry for the things she said at my back but I just feigned innocence like I didn't understand.

Well, here we come to the end for now.
