In search of mushrooms

The weather has changed. After the heat and arid June, it finally began to rain. The mycelium has not yet woken up completely, but mushrooms have appeared in the forest. Today I went to find some mushrooms to cook them with fried potatoes.

Of course you found out what kind of mushrooms they are. Yes, these are chanterelles. An excellent mushroom, which is not liked by larvae, which mushroom pickers call worms. They contain substances that are harmful to the health of larvae. With the help of raw chanterelles, you can drive worms and helminths out of your body. In addition, chanterelles can be photogenic.

Guess how many chanterelles are in this bouquet? I will send one token as a gift to the first person who calls the correct number. And the correct answer will be in the next mushroom post.

In the last photo, something similar to a slime mold. Yes, not all mushrooms that grow in the forest are edible. It's better not to touch these at all. There is a hypothesis that oncology is caused by slime molds. Maybe.

Cheesecakes grow right on the road. But even on forest roads, it's not worth picking mushrooms for food. Mycelium can accumulate toxic substances from the exhaust gases of cars.

Today I found only three aspen trees, but they are there and are starting to grow. I think that soon we will see real boletus.

My harvest today was not rich, but I still got a good frying pan of excellent mushrooms.

Oh I'd love to find chanterelles but not common here in Australia. Maybe when I'm in Europe one year.
