Wednesday walk along the river bank (visual walk of 17 photos + riddle)

The bank of the Logovezh River, along which we are now walking, is quite high and overgrown with pine forest. There is wonderful air here, useful for people with lung diseases. But we are interested in visual nectar.

This morning is flooded with the rays of the sun. Autumn has arrived exactly on schedule. At the end of August, someone turned off the heat. After +30C in August, one night on the thermometer appeared ... +13C. You can see the forest and the river flooded with the sun, but the thermometer is still +13C. But this does not detract from the beauty around.

A forest road stretches along the entire coast. It itself can be a separate topic of the report. But we'll take a look at the river too.

The river is very shallow from the summer heat. The grasses are tired and are now waiting for winter.

DSC01409.jpg

Attracted me... one might have thought that someone was lying at the bottom of the river...a huge snake or an eel...
no, no, it's just a tree trunk.

But I wasn't just looking into the distance. However, someone was looking at me from the foliage, too.

DSC01401.jpg

These are lily of the valley berries. They are poisonous, but can be used as medicine. For example, for the treatment of heart problems.

Rowan leaves were the first to react to autumn. They brought their colors to the green summer landscape. On the wild river bank, you can see some chaos. But this is only from the human point of view. We are used to the perception of correct geometry and everything else looks like chaos. But there is no chaos in nature.

The following photo is more of a joke. In reality, this can not be.

DSC01410.jpg

And a few more shots of river water with herbs, stones, algae...

And now I want to tell you a riddle. In the photo you can see the end of the alder trunk. The root of the trunk is still in the lemla. It reaches the end of the trunk to the ground about 1.5-2 meters.
What's wrong with this trunk and how did it happen?
To the first commentator who gives the correct answer, I will send a mug of beer and 1 HIVE to buy a snack :)

Hello dear friend @bambuka good day

Beautiful the place you visited for the walk

Nature is incredible, it is incomprehensible that some leaves are poisonous to eat, but they are very good for treating heart conditions, only nature achieves something like this

As for the riddle. The malformation of the branches of the tree is given by the strangulation of a parasitic branch or vine that forced it to grow like this, the other option is that some human has tied a rope to it, which caused the plant to have the malformation
I take this opportunity to wish you a splendid day

Glad to see you @jlufer and thank you for your kind words!
Cheers :)

Glad you liked it)) The berries of the lily of the valley are poisonous (not leaves) and medicine is made from them. What doesn't kill us makes us stronger :-))

The mystery remains unsolved. Maybe tomorrow in the next post I will give the correct answer)
Have a good time of the day 🖐 😊

Beautiful walk, thank you for sharing. The joke photo is fun! As for the riddle, I'm going to say it was a beaver that did that. Cheers!

That's right, this is the work of beavers. I was struck by how they gnawed the trunk at such a height :) It's one thing to prune a tree at its base while sitting on the ground... and it's quite another to sit on the trunk like a bird and gnaw the trunk from all sides. Looks like they've had a few tries LOL
Well, you were the first to give the correct answer and the prize is yours, congratulations!
