Inktober day 11: wander

My posting time has gotten later and later, but this is mostly because my workload has gotten worse and worse. I wasn't really expecting to still be this busy by this time of the year, especially since it's the onset of rainy season for me and it should be well near impossible to mine now. Here that is... I didn't take into account other countries that would be sending their samples to us that aparently do not know the concept of a mining season break.

At this point, I was wondering about wandering around a mine field. Or a grassland... or any other place aside from the lab. And that brings us to our next prompt word for this year's inktober, and that is: wander.

Wander means to stroll leisurely and that is definitely what I need right now, a leisurely stroll somewhere somehow. Away from all the acid fumes and the hussle and bussle of the city. Unfortunately, to wander isn't so easy for a working girl like me.
but to let my mind wander is probably my only remedy for this longing to explore, and that's what I tried too draw today

Materials: green ink, rainbow pen, white gel pen, chalk
Duration: 2 hours

I long to be surrounded by nature lately, especially sincce I've been getting sick more often than I would hope for. like just 2 weeks apart and I already have another fever because of my ridiculous workload. and being sick definitely makes it impossible for me to go around.
I am definitely not proud ofthis artwork today because I have a few technical issues with capturing what I have in my head vs atually executing.

Like... from when I started it, I was sure that my pens will not give me the broad strokes I needed for this piece yet I still tried to see what I could make with the colors I have and the techniques I currently possess.

I couldn't take that many photos of this today since I only worked on this for roughly 2 hours or so, I wouldn't be surprised XD

i was hoonestly just aiming to finish a drawing a day and that's it. And since my fever this time is a lot worse than the fever I had last time, I couldn't really manage to do more aside from this.
I do like the mood I boult up with the colors and the chalk blending in though, it kind of looks like something out of a dream.

Something that I definitely hope to dream about tonight when I go to sleep (for the nth time today)
