LOVE. Does This Word Mean the Same to Everyone?

When it comes to love, people have more theories than Einstein had about the universe itself. Everyone thinks they know what it is, but in reality, it's much more complicated than it seems. You know when you think love is like a roller coaster in an amusement park, full of ups and downs, it's that feeling that takes you to heaven one minute and throws you to the ground the next, or should I say from heaven to hell? And seriously, sometimes it's exactly like that, you're up there, on cloud nine, enjoying every moment with someone who gets you, thinking you've found the person of your dreams, and suddenly, bam! Everything turns upside down, and you wonder if that was real love or just a way for you to feel less alone.

Then there are the hopeless romantics, who think love is just red roses and poetry recited in the moonlight, a true soap opera scene, right? It's that fairy tale we grow up watching in movies and books, but real life isn't always like that, is it? Because true love is more than just beautiful words and romantic gestures, it's in the simple moments, in the details of everyday life, in that exchange of glances that says more than a thousand declarations of love.

And then there are those who think love is just about sex, you know? It's that physical attraction that leaves you breathless and makes your heart beat faster, or better yet, no commitment, just casual sex and that's it. Sure, chemistry is important, but love goes far beyond carnal desire, it's that bond that connects two souls, that makes you feel complete beside the other person, even when you're just holding hands, enjoying a movie on the couch.

But the big question is:

What is true love?

True love is connection, it's that harmony you feel when you're with someone who truly understands you, who accepts you just the way you are, with all your flaws and qualities. It's when you look into the eyes of the person and feel like you've found your place in the world, you know? And love is also partnership. It's being together in good times and bad, supporting each other, even when the world seems to be falling apart around you. It's that feeling that makes you want to be with the person not only in happy times but also in difficult times, holding their hand and saying, "It's going to be okay, I'm here with you."

And we can't forget about respect, right? Love without respect isn't true love. It's essential to understand that each person is unique, with their own desires, dreams, and limitations. It's about listening without judging, giving space for the other person to be who they truly are, without trying to change anything. So, if there's one thing I can tell you about love, it's that it's like a plant, you know? It needs to be watered every day, with care, respect, and attention. Because only then can it grow and flourish, becoming stronger and more beautiful every day.

In the end, that's what love is.

It's a mystery, an adventure, an endless journey.

It's something we feel more than we explain, and when we find it, we know because true love is the one that makes our hearts beat faster, that makes life worth living, that makes us feel alive. And there's nothing more amazing than that.
