A Walk on the Üsküdar Beach - Istanbul

On a beautiful evening in Istanbul, I took a walk along the Bosphorus in Üsküdar, one of the most beautiful districts of Istanbul and one of the most beautiful places to visit because it is on the shores of the Bosphorus. I wanted to enjoy the beautiful evening weather.

Actually, I live on the European side of Istanbul. Üsküdar district is a district on the Anatolian side of Istanbul, on the shores of the Bosphorus. I can say that it takes approximately 25 minutes to get here by car. Of course, this is valid for times when there is no traffic and the roads are open.

Like many metropolises; Istanbul has to deal with the traffic problem, which is one of the most important problems caused by the dense population. In this busy life, sometimes it is nice to take a nice walk or sit by the Bosphorus and watch the moonlight for a while.

One of the most preferred places on the Bosphorus shore is to sit directly opposite the Maiden's Tower. The Maiden's Tower in Istanbul also has a story.

According to the rumor; A young Christian girl falls in love with a Muslim man. They can only meet and get together secretly. Because, at that time, it was unacceptable for a Muslim and a Christian to come together. The girl's father is a priest. Priest; One day he finds out about the situation and gets very angry about it. When he realizes that his daughter will never give up on this, he imprisons her in this tower, which is located in the middle of the Bosphorus and used as a lighthouse, so that no one can reach her. Since it is a place only she can come and see, the girl cannot escape from there. Her father constantly brought food to the girl, and one day she died after being bitten by a snake hiding among the fruits. Interestingly, this snake was hidden among the figs. Fig is considered one of the forbidden fruits. source

If you come to Istanbul one day, one of the places you want to visit should be the places on the Bosphorus. But I would especially like you to come to the place where the Maiden's Tower is located. Üsküdar is a small and cute district.
