Govind Dev Ji birthday - Jaipur

Hello to all!

Today I'll take you in Jaipur (Rajasthan, India) to celebrate Hindu 'Govind Dev Ji' god birthday, who is a manifestation of Krishna (Krishna is a major deity in Hinduism; the name means "black", "dark", "dark blue" or “the all attractive”).
Celebration takes place in Govind Dev Ji temple.
It is believed that the image located in this temple looks as Krishna looked when he came on earth.
Celebration is very important here, and it is as strong as it was 300 years ago.

A lot of humanity, smiles, kindness and... colors!
Not only Govind Dev Ji birthday, but also Holi festival!!

As I have already explained in my post Holi festival, painting the face of others symbolize loving, friendship and taking care of each, playing, laughing, forgetting, forgiving, and repairing broken relationships.

In many shops outside the temple you can buy the colors:

It is not allowed to take shoes inside temple. It is a sign of respect, and I think also to be in touch with the earth:

People are waiting for the celebration to start:

And finally, like an explosion, dance is starting! I feel like out of time: all people become brother, all people are the same! A feeling of joy, with the engaging of loud music, take me in another dimension!

I'm inside the merry and messy dance! It is a bit difficult with two camera on the shoulders, but it is irresistible!

And finally, Govinda Dev Ji appears! The curtain opens and Govind Dev Ji appears! All people together raise their hands and the happiness is immense!

At the end, music stops, and all people starts slowly to exit...
