Lago Santo - Holy Lake

Hello to all! And happy new year!
I had some problem with my Mac and some hard-disks, now all is solved and I will be active again on Hive!

Snow has finally arrived in my region, and all over north Italy!

With snow, ice and low temperature.

Today we walked to Lago Santo (Holy lake) and Lago Baccio.
This place is on Appennino range, between Tuscany and Emilia Romagna regions.

Heavy clouds in the sky.
Silence around. In winter, with snow, the silence of nature slowly comes inside our soul. We need more silence, a silence that is not absence, but strong presence.

Woods shows all their beauty with snow. If a tree without snow is like a skeleton, snow gives to this skeleton the missing flesh:

These hugged trunks are like human relations: intricate, complex, but also beautiful and unique: every trunk needs the support of others, to make humanity a single organism:

We breathe the soul of the wood. Walking in the deep silence, without the craziness of city life, faraway thousand miles from here:

Mount Giovo appears in the distance, with its rocky walls:

Finally we reached Lago Baccio, walking all around it in half meters of fresh snow:

Life is frozen, waiting for better time.
Under the snow there is the 'bread', farmer said.
Under the snow there is a new life, a still life, waiting to be woke up.

An hidden waterfall reminded us that time, before suspended, are starting again... Time is one of the more precious things we have as human being, but more precious of that, is to give yourself a break from it. Sometimes a break comes like a wonderful unexpected gift.
