There is something in me older than me

Possotomè, a small village near Lac Ahémè, Benin (western Africa).

In some night, you can find a nighty market where people (usually women) sell fishes caught by men during the day.

Market is fascinating due to the candle lights, that create a warm magic atmosphere.

These shadows and small lights remind me this poem:

"I swear I will save my gentleness
the gentleness of little and nothing
of the little little, I will save the little and the nothing
the shaded color, the small shade
the imperceptible that comes to light
the seed within the seed, the nothing within
that seed. Because from that nothing
every fruit is born. From that nothing
everything comes."

I loved the shadows in background, like ancestral spirits, something older than me.
In Africa there is a primordial energy, everything comes from Africa, the roots of our soul are here.
They have 'little' things, there is poverty, but something deeper and more important than commercial things are there: you can feel that this 'little' and 'nothing inside the seed' is the origin of a living force, the source of each desires.

Maybe Africa is also the mother of all wounds, but I think it is the seed of all inner dreams, and specially during night you can recognize in these dark shadows, in these shining eyes, all our fears, all our ancestors and all our future.
