ZOOM MASS INDOCTRINATION. DAY 3

Summary of what was learnt.

Prayer is an important factor in our Christian life. It is one of the direct means of communication with our maker. Prayer must never be trivialised at any point of our life because a prayerless Christian is a powerlessness Christian. But remember, when we pray, it is necessary that it is from our heart.

James 5:16
King James Version
16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

God already knows what we need and is always ready to meet us where we are, so we should avoid excessive repetition.

Matthew 6:7-8
but when you pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathens do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Vain repetition simply means saying one prayer over and over and over again vainly.

We should not pray for long periods of time, as the Gentiles did, which was forbidden by Christ.

Matthew 6:8
Be not ye like unto them, for your heavenly father knoweth what thngs ye have need of before ye ask him.

In order for our future requests to be answered, we must first ask for forgiveness.

Mark 11:25
And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

Our God is Holy, and he does not dwell in a sinner's prayer.

Matthew 6 :5-6.
And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

If we want God to answer our prayers, we should pray in our closets rather than on the street.
There is no such thing as a one-on-one interaction between us and God when we pray.

Acts 20:36
And when he had thus spoken, he kneeled down, and prayed with them all.

We should pray kneeling down

Matthew 26:39
And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.

Bowing is an act of worship and humility

Psalms 95:6.
We should show more respect to God than our fellow humans. When one visits the Queen of England, he bows down showing respect. So our God deserves more than that.

We are inviting you to join the MCGI Cares (Hive) community that study the words of God and also earn some reward by making our reactions on it. We can check this link https://peakd.com/c/hive-182074/trending
