Get to spring.

Getting to spring... it might seem a bit strange, because, under normal conditions, to get to spring you can just lie on the couch, watch TV, eat well and, sometimes, look at the calendar, which, day after day, brings you closer to your cherished goal.

But, as it turned out, this is not always the case, sometimes, this path is like a marathon over rough terrain, through dense bushes along narrow paths, or, in general, off-road, and, even worse, it looks like you are trying, for the first time, to climb a sheer cliff and reach with your hand to a safety carabiner attached to the top of the cliff.

When I thought about writing this post, which I will illustrate with my photography, I thought back to my childhood when my parents agreed to give their sickly child, a weak asthmatic, to a very risky sport, rock climbing.

Yes, then I was still very weak, but I was already standing in front of a high rock and looking up to where a titanium carbine shone in the sun, which I would need to get to.

Rock, it was not the worst thing at that moment.

I had to trust my life to the man who belayed me and held the opposite end of the rope.

Outside, I had to trust the rope, the carabiner, the harness around my torso and on my belt, the carabiner on the harness, and the people who made it all.

Did I doubt my abilities?

Yes, I had doubts and I didn’t know how I would behave up there, lol, but I gave the command and the person who secured me pulled the rope a little.

To say it wasn't easy is an understatement.

I got to the top and touched the carbine with my hand, which was dressed on a ring of a titanium wedge driven into the rock up to the ear.

Someone had to climb up here without a safety net and do it, drive a wedge and then go down, understanding this gave me more confidence in myself, but confidence cannot insure you from mistakes, especially on a slippery stone .

Yes, I must say that climbing the rock was easier than descending it, but that's not so important anymore.

Spring is the milestone that you really want to reach today, during the war, when there are fears that the winter will be very cold, and cities may not have heating, gas and water.

I am really looking forward to spring, hoping for a warm winter and that these fears are just the first step of a child in the face of a sheer cliff.
