Kitchen Ninja.

I have always liked the process of preparing different dishes and I am not indifferent to kitchen utensils it is difficult for me to walk past a store that sells kitchen knives a hunter must have a knife and be sharp.

But a good knife is expensive and I can’t always afford the knife that I dream about.

But one day, sadly among my father's legacy there were razor-sharp Japanese kitchen knives and I decided to combine my passion for photography with my passion for sharp knives and asked my son to help me with this.

The task was to photograph the moment when a knife cuts a potato tuber in two at the moment the tuber falls from a height.

As it turned out this is not a very simple task, although initially it seemed very simple.

After a lot of trial and error, a decision was made that made it possible to create the illusion that the knife really cuts the potato tuber in two at the moment of falling.

To do this the potatoes were pre-cut into two halves and each of them was planted on a wooden barbecue skewer.

Later With the help of a photo editor, wooden skewers were removed from the photograph and I got what I wanted to see.

Slight blurring of photos is quite normal for a photo in motion, but there was no movement either.

It was a fun activity much more fun than photographing static still lifes even if they were cute and delicious cakes.
