LMAC Freestyle: Trapped in Pixels

"Beautiful, isn't it?" whispered one monitor.

"Yeah, the resolution is incredibly high," replied the other.

They didn't realize they were standing right beneath the actual sky.

Hello, Hive friends!

Amidst the rapid pace of technology that continues to dominate our daily lives, we sometimes find ourselves on the thin line between digital reality and the real world. Inspired by this contrast, I would like to share a collage that I recently completed. This relaxed project was born from a desire to explore the visual contrast between human-made mechanical elements and the green open nature.

It is a visual exploration where technology and the freedom of nature collide, yet somehow, manage to coexist within a single frame. In this world, everything is controlled, you can even see a mysterious drone watching their every move from another angle.

You do capture the dynamic of the moment. The tension between different parts of our lives. It's like a bionic existence: some parts mechanical, some parts natural. Somehow we are learning to navigate this space that forces us to accommodate the two. But hasn't this been true ever since humans first discovered tools? The march to mastering the environment for our ends seems to be morphing into the challenge of maintaining our supremacy over the tools we have created.

Quite a journey we are on, we humans who keep striving and creating and mastering. Where will we end, on this beautiful planet we call earth? A planet we are consuming with our unquenchable appetite. Will our inventions be our tools, or is there a darker future for us in this nature/machine coexistence?

Agreed, it's no longer about how we master the tools we create, but how we prevent ourselves from being mastered by them. Being aware of this tension is actually what allows us to remember how to be fully human in this fast-paced world.
