Tear-Tracked | Digital Art
When I was a kid, wildlife documentaries were my absolute favorite window to the world. I still remember sitting mesmerized in the living room, watching the beauty and raw wildness of the outside world through a display box.
I remember the breathless tension of a deer running for its life from a lion, or a monkey leaping between treetops to survive. It all felt so raw, honest, and captivating.
Among the many animals that graced the African savannah, there was one big cat with distinct "tear tracks" on its face that always left me in complete awe. To my childhood self, the cheetah was the definition of cool. A sleek, slender body covered in beautiful spots, paired with mind blowing speed, it was the perfect combination. I deeply idolized this big cat and always hoped that, one day, I would get to see them in person.
For this project, I wanted to bring my childhood idol onto the digital canvas.
While the cheetah is the main focus, I didn't want a realistic depiction. Instead, I wanted to capture its intense energy and predatory aura. To complement its presence, I brought in another iconic, equally mesmerizing predator, the Black Widow.
