World on Fire | LMAC Freestyle

Hello everyone! 👋

This time, I'm back with another collage full of colors. That might be the first impression you get when you look at it. There's a bright blue sky, a field of flowers, and various elements that make the whole piece feel quite lively.

But if you look a little closer, there's something slightly different going on beneath the surface.

world.jpg

You can see a skull holding up a burning Earth, while the sky above remains bright and blue. For some reason, there's something strange about this image. The world is burning, yet the sky stays calm, as if nothing is happening down below.

Honestly, even though this collage is filled with bright colors, there's something a little suffocating about it when I look at the whole piece. Maybe it's because so many contrasting things exist side by side. There's beauty, there's destruction, and somehow, they share the same space.

I didn't want to make this collage look too dark. Instead, I was interested in how something heavy could exist in the middle of such bright colors. Sometimes, unsettling things don't always come with gloomy surroundings. They can be right there, beneath a beautiful sky and among blooming flowers, without us noticing them at first.

Maybe that's what draws me to this combination of elements. Something can look beautiful from a distance, but leave us with a completely different feeling when we take a closer look.

Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to look at my work.

The image is full of obvious and hidden contradictions. Your collage is valuable because you have beautifully brought together contradictions. Life and death, tiredness and nothingness, earth and sky, etc. are very valuable. Well done.

Thank you for seeing so much in my work. I really appreciate it. This collage reflects some of the struggles we’re facing right now, especially land fires, the smoke, and the other hardships that come with them. I feel these issues deserve more attention. Sometimes, beauty can hide a painful reality, and I wanted to bring a little of that contrast into my work.

Thank you for stopping by, @rishehri. Hope you a wonderful day!

You have accurately shown the same issues with this collage.

Excellent composition, @bayuismail. You are so right in your reflection: heavy or troubling things don't always appear in shadows, sometimes they are hidden under a beautiful appearance

"Thank you to the writer, that was an interesting technical analysis of the painting. However, I disagree on one point. I feel that the contrast in the painting's elements created warmth and optimism, not the opposite. But perhaps that is the purpose of art—to be read by everyone from a different angle

Thank you for sharing your perspective! I love how the same artwork can bring out such different feelings in people. I think that’s one of the things I enjoy most about art. 😊
