Patience and consistency are the souls of business

Why do humans always find it difficult to keep on trying till the desired result is achieved? We want to make bountiful profits immediately after we start a business, people want to become a millionaire in a week because they just ventured into a new business because it is lucrative. People tend to forget that Rome wasn't built in a day, it takes constant trial, and a deep passion to succeed in the business world.

We give up easily, especially when things aren't going the way we want, we give up at a fall, and the worst part is once some fall in a business they switched to another one saying their destiny isn't supporting the one they fall while trying to be a millionaire unknown to them that consistency and patience are the souls of business either here in Nigeria or Oversea.

The reward of hard labor is the gain or profit but in a case where it's not forthcoming, it's not a sin to feel sad the most important thing to a successful business is never to give up. Sometimes it might be frustrating because it takes a strong heart to struggle to make ends meets.

I remembered when I got into my clothing business, in the first three months I did lots of advertising to friends, family, colleagues to church members but it was like it wasn't going to work. It got to a point I wanted to give up and find another means to earn a living but I was cautioned and advised to keep on, that time it looks like a waste of time. My mind was already off it but I kept on advertising just to please my advisers and to show them I listened to their advice and then suddenly the story changed for the better. I started getting customers even outside my residing state, it was then I become more serious and today I can proudly say I'm glad I didn't give up.

It takes patience to build a successful business, to make it in your line of business you don't need to go overboard. Taking a step at a time is all that is needed and remembering steady and gently win the race, you rush in, you rush out this is what many didn't understand. It takes a determined mind to keep pushing even when the result isn't forthcoming and to stand the test of time with enough patience to fight through the hard times.

Some of us find being consistent very difficult because once we try and couldn't get desirable results, we see no reason to keep trying. This was exactly how I felt when I started my journey on Hive, my friend that introduced me to this platform gave me the idea of earning nothing less than $5 on a post, it's hilarious right? I calculated my profit in a week and immediately I jumped at the offer but to my surprise, it wasn't so when I started and that made me lose hope.

I reduced my engagement and just write whenever I feel like it but I noticed the knowledge I gained from interacting with people and reading other people's write-ups then I decided to keep on trying till I become who I want to be. Even though I'm not there yet but I believe with patience and consistency I will get there.

The pains we endure and laugh over just to get to our desired place is something some people can't withstand and that is why they cut corners in achieving greatness but they have forgotten that only what you worked for last longer with you. A lazy person can't be patient or consistent because to them it will look like a waste of time.

Two things can keep you patient and consistent even when things aren't working the way you want. These two things have to power to keep you pushing harder with more zeal, I'm sure you will be wondering what they are. Passion and determination are the keys to successful acts of patience and consistency in business.
Have you ever seen a passionate and determined business-minded person? They operate at higher frequencies, they stayed focused at all times and they are not easily swayed by sudden profits.

Every phase we go through in life teaches us one thing or the other, this is why we can tell a beautiful story when we succeed, if you want to succeed in your business and also in life, don't place your focus on attaining a greater height in a snap of a finger. Have it at the back of your mind that it takes some certain process to be called a successful businessman or woman and when you fully understand the principle of patience and consistency, you will fly high.
