Is Star Citizen Profitable? A look at Ready player one MONEY!

My title is some what misleading as I have yet to make any money playing this old / new game. When @raymondspeaks told me there was a game that could fulfill my childhood fantasy; an amalgamation of Wing Commander / Mass Effect WHILE MAKING MONEY.. well I was in awe.

After buying a $65 USD package I was left with questions upon questions. There is a single player campaign.. in development. Here is the kicker.. it's been developing for well over 5 years. Apparently people have been waiting for this 'perfect' creature to be produced for a very very long time. Perhaps it should have been buyer beware and I did not do my due diligence in researching it more.

Let's just say this game is beautifully flawed. I'm not giving up just yet that is for sure. The eye candy is worth the money. With that being said, getting to do or see anything is very difficult. We have to wait for elevators, distances are long, and co-op is very difficult. The learning curve is also immense and takes hours of practice.

If you are able to figure out how to even leave your station you will be treated to a whole solar system packed full of lore and beautifully designed stations and worlds.

Even the train rides have incredible land scapes.

Instead and after YEARS of 'pledging' it's left with something..

There is genius to this game. It's just so buggy and flawed that I feel I will waste half my life trying to get it perfect even though IT'S NOT PERFECT. Imagine our frustration after 1 hour of just trying to meet up in such a large solar system.. and the game crashed.

We had to meet up again which took another hour!

The 'crash event' involed me just falling into a void. A bug.. I didn't eject. No end.. just falling.

Pretty much broken. So what comes next? Well let's just say me and Ray are committed to this for a while. Will we ever make actual money? Well tonight we are going to try to mine!

Like anything in life it's about the grind. There's definitely something here. We will perfect it and see where it goes. STAY TUNED!
