African Recipe ~Amazing Bitterleaf soup
Hello friends,
It’s being a while on this community. I have been busy with so much activities, but it’s good to be back as I will be sharing with you guys an amazing traditional recipe. Today I will be sharing with you all how I made my delicious onubu soup, also known as Bitterleaf soup. Take a chill pill and read along my amazing recipe.
INGREDIENTS
- palm oil
- coco yam
- Bitterleaf
- salt
- seasoning
- Beef
- fresh pepper
- Dry fish
- crayfish
- stockfish
PREPARATION
- First, wash your beef, stock fish as well as dry fish thoroughly. Season it properly and cook until it gets soft.
- I went ahead and added my palm oil.
- I pounded my Cocoyam and mixed properly with palm oil.
- I added the cocoyam paste into the boiling meat, fish and stock fish.
- I added more of the cocoyam, and I did it in small lumps. The cocoyam serves as thicker.
- I added more water and allowed it to cook for 7mins.
- I added dry pepper, ogiri, as well as crayfish. I really do not know the English name of ogiri, but some people call it native seasoning.
- I added Bitterleaf, it is properly washed in such a way that majority of the bitterness is eliminated.
- Add fresh pepper, as well as salt to taste
- Onugbu soup is ready to be served with any swallow of your choice.
Thank you very much for going through my post.
