Pleasant greetings everyone!

Today is the start to the weekend and like some of us usually say "thank God it's friday!". Today is a day for soft work and that was exactly how I worked... softly 😊.

Ok still on a soft note, I will be sharing tips on my tool box of skills. Everyone that has a vocation knows that acquiring more skills or better still, sharpening one's skill is necessary for professionalism.

As one who deals with a lot of people daily, there is need for me to always improve on my skills so as to be able to deliver quality even in the face of pressure.

I am a proud educator, I've been one for over ten years now and as such I have a wealth of knowledge and experience under my belt and so I would be sharing some useful tips that are necessary to be successful in my field. I am not giving general tips but tips that will help someone out there who wants to venture into "education".

The tools

  1. Firstly, develop good communication skills.

"I have heard many persons say that , they cannot express themselves or they don't like to be expressive". This is a funny statement, one I have said previously myself but after being intimated with the field, I buried such thoughts. This was because I now understood that in order ro beyp in my game, I had to she that introverted shell and learn to express myself before scholars and their parents. It was not easy at first but gradually, I did succeed.

  1. Secondly, Do it afraid.

When I first began in this field, I was very scared about a lot of things. Some of those things werw, standing on the assembly podium to address the students, speak on a moral topic and even gain class control. I remember that I was fidgeted anytime I was on duty call but one thing usually helped me and that was the fact that with my racing heart, my twisting insides and my sweaty palms, I still carried out my tasks. Many times, I made blunders but I never allow it deter me rather I learnt from my mistakes and came back better the next time. Over time, I became uses to it and can now face and conquer my fears.

  1. Thirdly Follow the golden rule.

In this particular vocation, I deal with not only the intellectual part of a child but their emotional, psychological, spiritual and moral judgements. It is the job of an educator to inculcate these kids on all these aspects. There's no favouritism or nepotism of any sort. Every child is special and they should be seen as such and cared for.

  1. ** Be full of love, kindness and compassion**, remember that they are future leaders.

  1. Most importantly, study to show yourself approved. Never stop learning or reading about the subject or course you are handling. Never let the children feel that you are not qualified.

This is it guys, tips that have helped me scale in my profession.

Thank you all for reading....shalom.

This is great. Being an educator or any kind of work entails that we are up to date in learning in order to be knowledgeable and confident about what we are teaching. Above all, developing our communication skills is important to be able to express ourselves freely.
