A rare view of my city: the Metropolitan cemetery arquitectural gem
This particular statue caught my eye because of its impeccable detail, its good state of preservation and with the increasingly cooler weather this time of year
All these sculptures are made of Italian marble and originally brought from Italy by the wealthy families of the City.
It always amazes me how old how many tombs are, look "he was born in 1859..." when this city was being born.
There are many mausoleums. Also many families of other nationalities and even a "mason" mausoleum.
the pretty flowers and leaves adorning the top of the statue give the photograph a fresh touch.
Going to this place is a trip back in time.
This beautiful sculpture is located at the end of the oldest cemetery in my city link, it is made of Italian Marble, whenever I go to this place I always take as many photos as I can, because the tradition of investing in granite, stone and marble for the mausoleums in this place has been maintained, not to mention the illustrious personalities that rest there.
