A ride for the historic Halmet of Mi city
I live in Ciudad Bolívar, Bolívar, Estate, Venezuela. A very hot place located next to the "Orinoco River", so, when isn't hot, it's hot and humid hahaha.
For this post I'll be using what3words app to show you the location.
The three first photos are located in our historical halmet,
The square is called "Miranda square" and the area "Boyacá street" 🔗
Next we see the very old high school "la Técnica", 🔗, it makes me nostalgic because there I graduated as a teacher in 1976 and I also graduated many boys who today are adults and even grandparents.
These commercial premises are located in "Vista Hermosa" 🔗 an area that used to be one of the most elegant in the City, but today is quite deteriorated, especially after the economic collapse of the years 2011-2017. However, the "San Francisco de Asís" square still remains intact... thanks to the interest of the neighbors. This little square was very soft with beautiful trees and since my older sister lived across the street for about 35 years, my daughters got used to spending a lot of time playing there. Nearby there were some divine fried chickens that we always ordered to enjoy with the family or to take home and have dinner. In front of the square is the "imperial bakery", whose owners are Portuguese. They have managed to keep their business going during the worst historical moments of famine and shortages such as the terrible 2016, 2017. Obviously we have a treasure trove of wonderful memories from that place and they continue to make the best breads.
Here we find the giant wall of the "San Francisco de Asís" school 🔗 a Catholic school that dates back to the 40s. My grandson studied there for a year and my nieces studied their entire primary there.
