My Entry Qurator's Art Walk! | Mythical Creatures | Art Competition

( EN / DE ) This week's theme for @Qurator's Art Walk is "Mystical Creatures." This reminded me of a book I had received as a gift. A nice little booklet: "The Elf Oracle" by Tiziana Mattera.
I opened it and the elf "Abloom" laughed at me:

"Thousand colored petals
flutter lightly in a jocular dance
through the first morning breeze;
they play with the gold of the sun's rays,
that return to light the new day".
(Quote translated by me from the german book "Das Elfen Orakel" Tiziana Mattera)

"Abloom" means bloomed. This elf asks us (meaning according to the book) to find the richest garden and the most precious gift in our heart, to let our unlimited possibilities, unlived talents, grace and spontaneity bloom colorfully.

Inspired by these lines, I decided to draw such a fairy being that sends us sun, color, life.

For the first time I tried to combine the elements of neuroart with a "normal" drawing and the result you can see here. Maybe I shouldn't have drawn the elf so realistically? For sure, as I realy liked this Artwork, I will try such pictures again in different ways.

First the drawing, than as you maybe have already seen in my other neuropostings, everything gets connected and rounded, bubbles added.

At the end the coloring. Not so intuitive as I usual do, because I wanted "Abloom" to spread Life Colors.

Das Thema der Woche für Qurator's Art Walk war "Mystische Kreaturen". Das erinnerte mich an ein Buch, das ich geschenkt bekommen hatte. Ein nettes kleines Büchlein: "Das Elfen Orakel" von Tiziana Mattera.
Ich schlug es auf und mich lachte der Elf "Abloom" an.

"Tausendfarbige Blütenblätter
flattern leicht in einem scherzhaften Tanz
durch die erste Morgenbrise;
sie spielen mit dem Gold der Sonnenstrahlen,
die zurückkehren, um den neuen Tag zu entzünden"
(Zitat aus dem Buch "Das Elfen Orakel" Tiziana Mattera)

"Abloom" bedeutet aufgeblüht. Dieser Elf fordert uns (sinngemäß laut dem Buch) auf, den reichsten Garten und das kostbarste Geschenk in unserem Herzen zu finden, unsere unbegrenzten Möglichkeiten, ungelebten Talente, Anmut und Spontaneität farbenfroh erblühen zu lassen.

Inspiriert von diesen Zeilen habe ich beschlossen, so ein Elfen Wesen zu zeichnen, das uns Sonne, Farbe, Leben sendet. Ich habe zum ersten mal versucht, die Elemente der Neuroart mit einer "normalen" Zeichnung zu vereinen und das Resultat seht ihr hier. Vielleicht hätte ich den Elfen nicht so realistisch zeichnen sollen? Da werde ich bestimmt noch mehrere Versuche starten. Ich hoffe er gefällt euch :-) Eure B.
