... or just anything BLUE

This line in Galen's Weekend Experiences post immediately made me think of a very specific day. No, it has nothing to do with weekends at all, well, maybe a little bit from the "feeling very well".
Probably you expect here wonderful pictures of the blue ocean, a gigantic view over the mountains to an endless blue shining sky? Not so in this posting.
This is about one of hundreds of more or less identical working days, as I experienced them in Bavaria day in and day out for about 20 years. Out early, but ready by noon, the rest of the day free for whatever I felt like doing, and still earning good money :-)

It was a really, really hot day in the middle of July 2019. I had just gotten my new BLUE car a few days ago and was totally happy with it. On the way back from work I decided it was time to buy new sandals for me. Thought, done, I also immediately found a super nice pair of BLUE sandals that I liked very much and they also fit perfectly.

Now it is such a tick of me, you could say, whenever it somehow fits, then I love to leave the store on the new shoes right away and pack the old ones. So I proudly walked with my new blue sandals to my new blue car. LOL! It is sometimes strange what trivial stuff can just make a person happy, isn't it?

Anyway, there is also a Mc. Donalds there on this shopping area, which didn't have bad cappuccino at all, so I just decided to take the car and the shoes for a little coffee break. And there the following photo was taken, which immediately came to my mind when I read WE Instructions Post:

Later, back home I made a photo to share it via Messenger with my friends. Yes, those were the days when I did not write a post, but put such things in the "status".
Status symbol? Haha.

In the photo the shoes look almost black, but they are dark blue.

I have no idea why that day is so etched in my memory, maybe because the old car always worried me a lot the last time and that stress was finally gone, maybe because two months after that my dog got sick and then needed a lot of care for a long time, maybe because half of a year later Covid time came with all the problems it brought me. I don't know.

Or maybe happiness can be bought with a car, new sandals and a cappuccino? Probably not. Or am I a ...

... Material Girl?

So it remains largely a mystery why this summer day in July 2019 has imprinted itself so much in my memory and that was already my BLUE story for this weekend :-) Yours, B.

There are only two photos allowed for this WE post, but another photo of that moment in my life NEEDS to be added here for @galenkp in the comments ;-) because I know you will like this table/cappuccino-view :-)

Lived there permanent for a long time
Hm I found out Cappuccino is the only thing tasting different at Mcs. Maybe it depends on the barista learning them, or on the machine tuning?
