Three Valuable Traits That Would Change The World

This world is filled with people with different personalities, different opinions, and perspectives. You could give birth to twins today and both of them can have different traits. Well, that’s what makes the world mysterious. It’s quite interesting though as that way you get to learn about different traits and manner of thinking.
Stepping out every day I get to meet people who possess different traits, some I find pleasing others terrible.

For the sake of the prompt of this week, I will be focusing on three valuable traits I wish everyone in this world could have. Honestly, if wishes were horses I definitely would be riding on this one.

To start with I wish everyone was Kind. As humans, we must be kind to each other. It is a tough world out there, an iota of kindness would go a long way in making someone’s day. People always say memories and words are difficult to forget. Imagine how the world would be if everyone said kind words and did kind things to one another.

A few days ago, it rained so badly that my street was a bit flooded. I had to go to work that day and I had no idea that the road was going to be that bad. I had my handbag and an extra bag.
While I stood staring at the pool of water in front of me and contemplating how to get past it a young man saw me struggling. He picked up a few stones and placed them in the water so I could step on them without having my leg in the water, that wasn’t all he stretched out his hand to help me with my extra bag. He did all this and when I said “thank you” all he did say was “Have a nice day” and then he went his way and the most interesting part was that he never asked for my number.

Such a display of kindness was truly nice and I had a super nice day at work. I don’t think I am ever going to forget such a kind gesture It was so kind of him as I didn’t even know him from anywhere but he came through for me.

More so, I wish one trait everyone in this world had is being Polite. I always tell people who talk to me rudely, “It can’t be me you are talking to in that way.” I find people who are rude and ill-mannered so disgusting. It will take nothing from you to be Polite to the next person, no matter the age difference or no matter the position you are holding.

Being Polite is a trait everyone should possess. It’s all about being courteous and considerate. If you get offered something you say “Thank you” If you want to ask for something you say “Please” These are magic words and would go a long way in helping one’s relationship with people.

The last trait I wish everyone in the world had is Open-mindedness. I find it frustrating when I meet people who do not have an open mind to things. It is important to have a growth mindset. One should be open to new ideas and different views. You could be in an organization with some people and it will be so difficult to grow as whenever you bring up a new idea it is being turned down.
If everyone has an open mindset I think the world will be a developed one as we would have new ideas and views flowing in. People will not be so scared to try new things and also open their minds to new ideas, experiences, perspectives, and opinions.

In this society, we can’t force these traits on people but hope they see reasons and try to emulate valuable traits for the world to be a better place.
