Courthouse walks. (Last week's favorites)
Last week was a mixed bag. I think I took the best pictures just randomly, without thinking too much. Just something that I said "Oh, I could take a picture of that" and then did.

I come by these flowers every time I go to the courthouse. Which was a lot recently, as the people there weren't able to catch up with work after Inti Raymi, World Cup, and whatever else is more important to them. In the end, they did get it done the 6th time I went.
Anyway, I like the contrast of the orange flower and the black asphalt in the background.

I went to the letters, too, and got this ironic picture. In the front, you see the "C" of the letters that form "Cotacachi" high above the canyon. But through the opening you don't see the mountain/volcano Cotacachi, but Imbabura - the mountain that gave the province its name.

Since I was there already, I took another picture from the platform. It's such a beautiful view. I think I have like 10 pictures of that now, and they're all kind of the same, and I will probably take even more.

Mom and child. Mom is watchful, while the little one is doing its thing near the wall. And yes, this, too, is on the way to the courthouse.

The multiple color flowers. Fresh ones, dry ones, all mixed up. Even something that looks like a dandelion fluff found its way in there.

But not everything was courthouse related. This one came out great, as in composition of the picture with the palm and the Arupo flowers touching almost in the middle. Could be more perfect, but is already great.

Of course I can't let the cookies miss. I did a few pictures, and the coconut came out the best. It's been fun to teach Kami everything around it, though a little frustrating as well. There is no great interest in self-improvement, in trying to get the best result, but more an apathy which is normal for a 15 year old I guess.

And to round it all up - a dog under Santa Ana, right in front of the main church of Cotacachi. I have other pictures focused more on the dog, ignoring the background, but I like the palms and the church tower to be complete.
That's it for last week! As always, any feedback and especially tips and tricks are very welcome! As long as it's not AI generated content or comment spamming... 😅
Thank you for stopping by!
All pictures are taken by myself with a Motorola Edge 60 Pro and I reserve the copyright - but you're welcome to ask if you'd like to use one of the pics!
Sometimes we forget that there are so many interesting things around us that we can see. Interesting pictures. Greetings, @beelzael
Thank you very much for taking the time to read/look and curating!
I love the photos especially the landscape and flower photos but it also made me smile 😃 Where I live, you don't see cows on your way to the courthouse, maybe small dogs taken for a walk, but not bigger animals. Different world 🌎 😃
I'm glad you enjoyed the pictures! A lot of times, the cows are not even behind fences, but being driven right on the main street until the next junction where they then go of towards calmer roads. I had to get used to that, too. Especially the one huge herd of sheep and goat that roams around here - they smell. A lot.
Love the "multiple color flowers" photo! The white and pink flowers make me smile! 😊
A lot of plants here have different kind of colors in flowers coming from the same stem. Also, if you look closely, you can see the white with the purple inner side has also some very small yellow spots in there. Quite the compilation of colors!
I really loved this picture and the view. It is just amazing.
The views here are definitely something else. I didn't have that in the northern German flatlands. The point for the platform is well chosen, even though it's always a little noisy as the main street to get into Cotacachi runs right below it.
