A game turned into a podcast?

One of my best Twitter accounts is Splinterlands. It keeps me informed about all the important news in the ecosystem and #Hive posting events like a media challenge. In my opinion, those challenges are an incredible way of increasing the pride of being part of this community, as every player shares his/her game experience with others, allowing others to learn about everyone's successes and mistakes. For this one, I would like to share my preferred way of enjoying this wonderful game that Splinterlands is: listening to podcasts! I will explain my favorite recent episodes and the way that they are helping me to make decisions for the short/mid/long-term. Hope you like it

Could a game turn into a fantastic podcast? My personal history.

I spent my childhood with the most wonderful woman in the world: my grandmother. Being an only child and abandoned by my father, my mother had to fight to earn a salary while my grandmother gave me all her love, hiding my family's shortcomings with her kindness. What could be a painful childhood turned into a wonderful one. Among many beautiful memories, she left me her love on the radio. I spent hours and hours listening to programs and today I feel attached to them every time I listen to them. Listening to the radio is a fantastic way to spend time while learning or being entertained. And today's radio has become a podcast. Podcasts have the warmth of old radio shows while bringing the advantages of deciding when and where you listen to them. What has surprised me the most is that lately, I have been listening to the podcast about my passion number 1: Splinterlands. This game, I mean this ecosystem is so deep and so amazing that everybody has a story to tell. And what's more important? We are all together building a community, willing to share their experiences and trying to help each other. These are the latest podcasts that I have listened to:

This podcast has the strongest flavor of the old radio I used to listen to with my grandma. Slow conversations because they go far. Slow conversations because they know and they believe what they are doing. The first time I heard them (October'22 - omg how fast goes the time when playing this game! and so many things have occurred!), I fell in love. Old episodes were focused on in-game news, and without losing this essence, they have added a history-telling of their weekly guest. I love them and I love everything they do. Life goes fast and @thepeoplesguild is my weekly necessary step to think and to enjoy. In their last episode, we had to say goodbye to @thewascalwabbits, cohost of the podcast and a valuable member of the project. They shared their thoughts about SPS stacking requirements as a main topic of discussion. Everything with ThePeople's mark.

Wascal's final episode

What I've learned from this project can be resumed in one word: Community. If we step apart from toxic attitudes and regrets and we try to find what joins us: the game, we will find that everybody has a lovely story to tell, and we should listen to it. My grandma told me that we humans are given 2 ears and 1 mouth, so the time that we are listening should be a minimum the double that one that we are speaking. Long live this project!

Tales is an amazing asset to the community. His analytic approach to the ecosystem is invaluable and should be listened to. I recommend everyone to attend to his thoughts in his channel. Last day I found myself having a delicious conversation with 1258 (another important asset of the community). I discovered some details of the hard fight 12 and his family are doing against a horrible illness her daughter suffers (I've been father recently and I can't imagine how a hell this could be), and I also discovered that Tales has another one in the Institue (omg Tales maybe you are older than I thought ^^). Tales was one of the content creators that showed with real numbers how bots were damaging the ecosystem and has given tons of good advice on his channel. What I loved most about this conversation is the way everybody showed their point of view respecting others. I recommend everyone listening to this

Fantastic conversation between Tales n 12

One of the hottest points of the conversation was about Nodes. While 12 has sold a couple of them more than doubling the value of SPS invested vs returned, Tales has bought them in the same period. Who will be right? Maybe both! In my situation, I will keep both Nodes because they are generating passive income, and this is the most important part of an investment. Nodes are generating 40 SPS per day, and have given me the total amount of Vouchers for Lux, and Runi and helped me to generate 250KDECB ready for the next burn event.
Another important point that appeared throughout the conversation was the importance of complementing our deck collection now that prices had gone down. It is a great time to acquire those assets that will help us to earn those beloved SPS!

All of my wisest decisions taken in this game come from the @Hawks21 subscriber's discord. I am a proud member of the Nest. I decided to run Splinterrents when had some spare cards, managed to get additional income, and subscribed to Splintermate to manage an alt account for the cheap fee of 1$ per month and get some juicy bronze rewards in the wild. Hawks are building a great initiative called Splinterguide, a portal that ranks all splinterlands cards, helping players to identify how every card collection should be increased

Access to Splinterguide

In my opinion, Hawks is the most complete content creator to follow. But where he shines is in analyzing tactical options. Recently Hawks turned into Wild and having tons of success with an underrated Legendary Summoner: Possibilus. He is proving day by day that every card counts if know how to surround it and the right rulesets. I am addicted to his recent videos where he goes live and shows his mental process of decision. Thanks to this video I gave Possibilus a chance and got all these results in a battle. It was a 45-mana Cripple and Knock-out and the board looked as follows:

First of all, I would like to share my mental process. I usually value Lux / Kelya vs Possibilus because I love the +1 speed and the armor vs the benefits that Possibilus gives to my army. For high mana armies there's a Possibilus standard formation formed for such an aggressive front taking profit of Reach (Coastal Sentry took an enormous profit of this factor), Baakjira as a Magic firewall in case my front gets melted, and then the rest of the team (in my case I chose for a couple of great Damage dealers and Igor, who stunned enemy's Wavebrood before falling). The most important thing is that is another way to surprise your enemy, instead of playing Lux again and again. I leave you the entire battle here

Finally but not less importantly, follow the official channels. Could you tell me how many games/projects spend 2 hours weekly involving their Executive Team to explain the next steps of the ecosystem? I know the answer: 0. All players in the community got the chance to attend Town Hall. And receive direct information about the next steps that will be taken. In the last one, we were told about a partnership with Chibi Dinos - that will help bridge Web2 games to Web3 and also the upcoming burning event was announced.

Splinterlands is such a dynamic ecosystem and it's important to stay tuned. I leave you access to the last Town Hall:

here

So I hope I've encouraged you to enjoy all this wonderful game is generating day by day. There are tons of initiatives, and (said by the Executive Team), nobody of us will have enough budget to reach everywhere. The more information we get, and the more this information is shared in a strong community, the better for everyone! Have a nice weekend!

THANKS FOR REACHING OUT HERE!

Hive - Splinterlands is a great ecosystem to grow in the Crypto world, we are in the best community and we play a game with a solid project and a great future. The only thing we've got to do is believe in the project and fight hard in the arena! Thanks for reading and feel free to share your thoughts.

In case you are new to this wonderful game here, I leave you my referral
