THGaming top 3 Brawl Report - 10/03/2021

One of my best Twitter accounts is Splinterlands. It keeps me informed about all the important news in the ecosystem and #Hive posting events like a media challenge. In my opinion, those challenges are an incredible way of increasing the pride of being part of this community, as every player shares his/her game experience with others, allowing others to learn about everyone's successes and mistakes. For this one, I bring the last brawl report from my guild, THGaming Brawlers (this time we had a tough one with not our best mark) and I also share the result of our other 2 most competitive guilds, THgaming 1 and 2. I will also bring an in depth analysis of one of best low mana snipers in game: Whistling Damon and finally I will share my tactical board in a brawl battle. Hope you like it!

THGaming brawl reports

It has reached the time I have decided to prepare fast the arrival of 1.5 land as all the demand on cards has rised last days and in my opinion will keep rising and rising. In my last post I talked about my 5 repoker of incorporations to my roster. As a Diamond / Champion rental player I decided to buy cards that bring a ton of value to my collection with a high rental cost. All 5 cards have a rental ROI of less than 2 years (which is incredible for an investment) and generate me savigns of around 750 DEC per day in rentals. Referred to our guilds, we got those results:

• THGaming Brawlers (Tier 3) - 7th place The guild has won spoils of 50 Crowns in the latest brawl! Also, each fully participating member was awarded 2,500 Merits and 32.617 staked SPS.
• THGaming 1 (Tier 1) - 1st place - The guild has won spoils of 9 Crowns in the latest brawl! Also, each fully participating member was awarded 485 Merits and 7.977 staked SPS.
• THGaming 2 (Tier 1)- 2ns place The guild has won spoils of 15 Crowns in the latest brawl! Also, each fully participating member was awarded 692 Merits and 10.918 staked SPS.

We would like to congratulate THGaming 1 & 2 for those great results. Related to our guild, brawlers, not our best performance by far. We have to learn the lesson and prepare for the next one!

Guessing the cards that will dominate the game

This week I have been taking a special loon into the water summoner. And from the water summoner I would like to speak about a guy who is not as famous as maybe could be Isgald but I know for sure that will find his place in the meta. His name is Damon, and he is a cheap, fast sniper that maybe you should have in the radar:

One conclusion I can share with my late analysis of Glaadius set is how many a lot of valuable cards I have found for low mana budget. And Damon is a living example of a 3 mana. Just his raw stats are worth the investment. For three mana we've got almost a Kulu swimhunter with 4 attack, 5 Speed and 5 health (abilities a part). These makes him suitable for Return to basics rulesets. But this is just the begining my friends!

I call Opportunity creatures kinda Intelligent killers as they focus on weaker enemies. I don't know which ability I prefer more for a carr, Opportunity or Sniper. Sniper means that the carry will have high chances of focusing valuable targets (this means ranged/magic carry or supports/non attack creatures). Although snipping can be prevented placing second an Oshannus or Pelacor Conjurer for example, if not can be a headache for opponent. Also, a fast snipper followed by an opportunity creature makes opportunity focus on what he has to. So I love Damon having Sniping.


Snare is most annoying than you suspect and is an underrated ability. Added to its evident effect on Earthquake ruleset (throwing an Uriel down to hell is quite humiliating), it will eliminate also the 25% absolute increased evading rate to a fllying creature. We are in the speed & evading meta sobre every Odd in your favour can be the first step to the victory

Finally Damon is a designed creature for bloodlust as he has snipe and piercing. This means he has devastating blows focusing vulnerable creatures. So his attacks have an increased chance to kill and trigerring bloodlust.

So we've seen Damon is another interesting option from the Water Summoner that properly played can bring your team to victory! Long service for Damon da Sniper!

Show me the battles! - master class in gold foil fray

There are certain kind of battles that completely change your point of view of the game, and you suddenly realize how depth the game is. Every day, if you pay attention to great players like my guildmante @seattlea you learn something new. He faced a 32-Mana, only magical creatures, explosive weaponry and magical armor and the board looked as follows :

• At first glance I thought that our opponent had best numbers, with Prysmatic Energy (one of my first rented cards for ranked matches), and Oshannus in second position to absorb blasting damage.
• Both players chose bringing Venari Wavesmith (my most beloved card for several months), but if we take a close look, my friend placed it in second place, to absorb blasting damage. Hellondale's resurrect triggered on Venari would activate protect again. Master move made by a great player. battle Superb point to Brawlers!
