Are crypto and stocks becoming one market?
Up until now crypto yield was drastically higher than the one that came from stocks. As an investor in both and looking at the assets that I hold in both of them, I am observing lately that the gap between the two of them closed up and now some stocks are more reliable and provide better earnings than crypto. As the crypto industry matures, I believe that the yield is getting smaller as smaller as the value that they can accrue is not infinite. Now as there are bearish and volatile signals in the crypto markets, looking at my portfolio of stocks which is climbing and also providing dividends makes me feel better about my financial position.

Stocks are steady providers
Stocks are among the most reliable investment vehicles as they offer the opportunity to participate in the long-term growth of businesses across any industry. Unlike speculative assets, many publicly traded companies generate consistent revenue, pay regular dividends and steadily increase their value over time. Historically, diversified stock markets have delivered attractive returns despite short-term volatility, making them a common investment instrument nowadays.
I invested in the last three years in stocks more than anything and so far the returns are impressive. My luck was that the Stocks Exchange in my country from Eastern Europe is or was undervalued and it experienced impressive growth in these years. On top of that since the beginning I have looked for companies with projects that were gone be completed in two or three years as in those cases the prices were low. And after that time as of now I see returns as x2 and more. Thus, I like having long term strategies by betting on future projects and in the same time this doesn't require a lot of management from myself as once invested I just need to have patience.
Crypto has bigger upside
As compared to stocks, crypto tokens offer higher growth potential, driven by fast innovation, emerging blockchain technologies but also hype. While cryptocurrencies are considerably more volatile than stocks, they have historically delivered exceptional returns during bull market cycles. And that translates into about four years in between bear and bull markets, thus still quite a long time to wait until you get high returns.
Beyond price gains, many crypto assets also provide opportunities through staking, decentralized finance (DeFi) and governance participation. And an example of that is the Hive blockchain itself where we can invest into governance token (Hive), stake it to earn curation rewards or choose HBD stablecoin for a 10% APR. But for sure until the next bull run comes, we all have a way to continue earning and accumulating.
Stocks and crypto balance and intertwine through tokenization
Nowadays tokenization is increasingly bridging the gap between traditional finance and blockchain by tokenizing real-world stocks as digital assets on decentralized networks. This innovation offers ownership of the assets while preserving the benefits coming from that like dividends or free stocks. And the big gain is that the fees are way lower than traditional brokers. And we see new features like fractional ownership or 24/7 trading as compared to workdays trading that Exchanges usually are opened for. Together, stocks and crypto are intertwining and in the future probably they will be represented as a single seamless market.

As I see it by investing in both assets you get to a good balance and risk management: stocks provide stability, while cryptocurrencies offer higher growth potential. As tokenization connects them both, we can benefit from single platforms offering both services. Easier to invest, easier to earn, less constraints. Anyone can now build a financial future since an early age, both for himself/herself or anyone from the family. Like for example investing now for a kid in stocks or tokenized stocks like SpaceX and simply watch the price after 20 years. That might be a solid start in life that we didn't have the opportunity to start with.
Stocks will be on Blockchain (Tokenisation) and Crypto trading will become available in every Stock Broker App. Merging of the two worlds is getting real.
True, a single financial market is shaping up enabled by technology.
Lower costs and fees will win the game.
I've just started investing in stocks about two years ago when I was already over 40.
Should have done that way earlier when I see the results.
The crypto markets have more potential growth, but are also risky. I've also traded some tokens on different chains (also on Hive) and a lot of times that didn't work out well.
Stocks (and for me ETF's) are a steady, but safer investment. I don't get the highest profits, but it does let me sleep well at night 😂
@behiver, me quedo con "My luck was that the Stocks Exchange in my country from East...", es una observación importante.
Stocks are a good option. People do not choose a crypto portfolio, they have become extremely volatile and unpredictable. Although bringing a portfolio will have a bigger impact in the end.
It all requires to have a consistency to work and choice. If everything remains well.
