5k Hive power this year

I'm pleased to share that my unstaking days are behind me. I'll now focus my attention on growing my stake and getting more value from my Hive account.

The past couple of months have been challenging for me and my family. We have had to deal with a lot of changes and it has been draining.

I always knew that moving to a new country was going to be a challenge and I thought I was equipped to deal with whatever was thrown at me. It has been a rude awakening but there are no regrets.

The UK hasn't been as easy as advertised by the dream peddlers. My experience so far has been a mix of culture shock, financial crunch and all the emotions that come with homesickness.

There's still quite a lot that needs sorting and that's been burning a hole in our pocket. However, in the midst of the chaos, we've gotten some level of stability without actually being in a good financial position because of the school fees we have to pay monthly.

Some hope

We both have stable jobs, so we're able to pay rent, buy food and cover transportation. We hardly have any extra for dates, entertainment and stuff like that but we try.

Anyway, thanks to achieving some level of stability, we'll no longer need to liquidate any staked asset. This indicates a shift in my priorities on Hive, as I'll now push towards actively growing my hive stake.

I have some liquid hive and it'll stay that way unless something changes. If we get in a crazy bull run, I'll sell, if not, I'll simply power it up and increase my voting power.

I've set a lofty target of 5k Hive power by the end of the year. It does seem far fetched if I intend to grow my account through just publishing.

To reach my target, I'll commence buying Hive in small quantities some time in June or early July. At that point, I'll be working from home and will have extra funds available to play around with.

Other tokens

Yesterday, I talked about my plan to increase my SPS stake and that's also going to be in effect while I grow my hive stake. I will be buying hive with income I earn in real life while I'll buy SPS with my crypto income.

I've also been thinking about my Inleo account but with so little resources available, I reckon I'll just have to grow it organically, from post publications.

I'll use the front end more often, share short form content whenever I get the chance and generally just be more active. It's easier said than done, considering I'm generally not active on social media as whole.
