A dreamy vision

A lot has happened since 2009 but one thing that has been constant are my friends. We've been in each other's lives since we met in University and it has been nice to watch us grow.

Life hasn't always been kind to us but we have managed to scale through many difficult challenges. Nigeria has been tough, offering all sorts of problems in career, safety and whatnot but we survived.

Today, we're almost all in the UK and facing a new kind of challenge. We are trying to navigate the perilous waters of the western world and it is not easy, at all.

I was the third out of a small group that moved here and on Monday, one more moved. In fact, right now, only one of my friends still lives in Nigeria.

We are all here for a purpose, of course. We would have all preferred to live in our country but situation behind our control got us here.

We're all spread out in different cities but the UK isn't that big anyway, so I reckon we'll eventually have a meetup between ourselves. For now though, we continue our grind towards a better life.

That's awesome that you guys are together such a long time. And that you guys can have a blast in the UK. That's actually super awesome. So many people (friends that you know will just study and after that they will go apart.) but you guys look after each other I'm happy for you. 🙂

It has been a very tedious journey but so far, so good. Happy about where we are and looking forward to the future.

I don’t know why but I got emotional reading this.
Wish I could meet in some other parts of the world with certain people to live our lives.

That’s great that you’re mostly all in the same country at this point! It’s good to have local friends around for sure and it helps when you’ve moved thousands of miles away like that.
