The rise in the value of hive has had a net positive effect in the entire platform.

Many of us are now earning a lot more money than we ever use to earn on Hive. The reason is because while the amount of hive being printed has reduced, the asset has dramatically gained against the dollar.

This pump means that the Vue if upvotes and reward pool has also grown with respect to the price of hive.

The explanation is simple really. Your posts were from a time when the value of hive was lower than it is now.

So basically what this then means is that as the value of hive pumped, the reward pool and upvote value for previous days that posts haven't paid out will also rise.

So assuming your upvote value is currently $5 but in the past it was $2.5, when the old posts pays out, it will read it as $5 because of the current value of hive.

On top of the increase in post rewards, all the curators also earn more hive power from upvotes on previous posts.

Hive is truly changing lives now and I'm loving every second of it :)
It's very motivating to see the rewards and I've been inspired constantly this week. Hoping that this price will stay (or go up lol) and that I can keep myself motivated for a while like that. If so, I will be able to fund our move to Spain next year with these funds. How awesome is that :)

WOW I was wondering about the increase in value, I thought I got more votes but now I understand, and it is very true Hive is changing lives by giving back purchasing power to people, it also helps them in the midst of the mid-life crisis with some extra income.

It is definitely the way to go. I can't understand why people remain on old legacy platforms that milk their user base. I guess it comes down to ignorance. For us making use of these platforms on a daily basis, it is perhaps difficult to comprehend that the majority are still so ignorant!
