Justice League: Dark Apokolips War(Review)

This is probably one of the best Justice League releases I've seen in a long time and it so mature that you'd wonder if kids are allowed to see it. The animation deviated from the usual Superman/Batman wankfest and actually put Constantine at the forefront of activities.

In the plot, superman assembled the entire Justice League to take on Dark Side in a full-frontal attack but unbeknownst to them, Dark Side already knew their plans. The plot jumps to 2 years later and their plan presumptuously fails as the Earth is turned into Dark Side's toilet. Only, in this toilet, he's literally sucking out the magma from the earth's ass or core as you may know it and doing dastardly shit like annihilating the entire planet OA where all the Green Lanterns meet for their sausage parties.

I'd like to stay away from spoilers, so I'll avoid dropping too many details but I must say it was a really fun animation to watch. In this one, you get to understand the true power of Dark Side, and his wit. He practically castrated the entire justice league and whoever he didn't kill, he turned into his lackey.

The thing that stood out in this animation is how the critical period brought out the "best" in some of the vilest villains like Bane, sharkface and even Harley Quinn, who was pissed off at the fact that Dark Side killed her pudding(Joker).

The entire DC universe joined forces to bring down a common enemy and it made for quite the spectacle. This animation uncharacteristically had a lot of bloody and gooey scenes. It is also possible that you might have to watch some of your faves in the DC universe die but don't take it to heart because each of these animations are just a portrayal of someone's imagination.

Overall, it is an amazing animation that doesn't stick with the "happily ever after" gripe, but what stood out was how the movie ended at the peak of the crescendo. Thoroughly enjoyed this animation and I give it a solid 5/5 for awesomeness.

Yeah I have watched it. And it was on DStv former channel Toonami. Really pained me when they removed the channel. I felt so much like crying 😭😭😭.

Oh. This animation was released last month though, sure it is the same one? Also, the kind of blood, and violence they showed there can't be aired on Toonami I think

Maybe this is defferent but I watched a superman apocalypse on Toonami a time back, where he actually went there to battle against darkside with the help of wonderwoman Batman and others to save his cousin (Supergirl).

I will check this out though to be sure 🤗
