Leofinance witness server should be in the top 20
The Leofinance ecosystem is one that transcends a blogging/social platform that resides on Hive. It is one that transcends just the Leo token found on a number of blockchains.
Leofinance is a community and despite being "centralised", it is still technically run by the presiding community. Also, centralisation isn't exactly a bad thing when there's a good head in charge of the project.
The Leofinance ecosystem has evolved into a suite of investment opportunities spread across a number of blockchains. At the time of writing, I know you can access a Leo-based product on Hive, finance smart chain, Ethereum and Polygon network.
Personally, I have some Leo-related investments staked on Polygon, Binance Smart Chain and Hive. All of which are working in their own way to create value for me.
The witness
On Hive we have the Leofinance blogging and social media platform where people are encouraged to share finance-related content. This could be either long form or short form content on Threads.
There's also [Leodex]leodex.io) for trading Hive-based second layer tokens. Leodex offers one of the cheapest transaction fees on the chain.
The Leofincne community predominantly resides on Hive because this is where information generally flows from. Since Hive is also the only platform with a social media front-end, there are more interactions on this side.
For what it is worth, the Leofinance community originated on hive, so it is only right that a lot of activities flow through the blockchain. This is also why leofinance offers a very simple and free route to create a Hive account.
At the time of writing, I think Leofinance offers the best and fastest routes to creating a Hive account. You can do it with a phone number or simply with a Twitter account.
For some weird reason, @leofinance isn't one of the top 20 witnesses on hive right now and I think we can fix that. The Leofinance account needs at least 37.5m worth of votes to break into the top 20 and then some to climb higher.
Don't worry about how much stake you have, just put it to work by voting for leofinance server. At the time of writing, it is currently sat at 33 on the list.
You can vote for the Leofinance server in a variety of ways;
- Hive Keychain: Click on Governance, select witnesses and scroll down to Leofinance
- Peakd: Go to Peakd Witness page, scroll to Leofincne in number 33 right now and vote for it
- Hive Wallet: Go to Hive wallet Witness page, scroll to Leofinance and vote for it.
Lets get the Leofinance Witness server into the top 20 where it should be.

I'm guessing they would be in the top 20 if they ran a nice full node and weren't missing blocks and not updating the price feed. It's easy to say that LEO should be in top 20 until we actually look at the server node and how poorly maintained it is. Doesn't matter what LEO is doing if the actual Hive node isn't working correctly.

LeoFinance definitely deserve more recognition by the wider Hive community.
By allowing n00bs to sign up via Twitter, LeoFinance currently offers the easiest way to get a Hive account.
Have you ever tried to use Hive Onboard...?
An absolute fucking nightmare!
But the real value to Hive comes from the way they have integrated HIVE/HBD into both BSC and Polygon.
HBD needs liquidity and the Leo team have at least laid the path toward having enough to truly swap large amounts at a time.
These 2 things are direct value-adds to Hive and imo, certainly deserves more recognition.
