Something warm

I'm not saying I'm going to start smoking but I understand why people do it. I mean, for the most part it is an addiction but at the same time, it does seem like it warms the inside, in the midst of the cold.

Based on my observation, I can't say that the smoking culture in the UK is as a result of the weather. However, I can admit that it is actually a viable excuse to smoke.

I've met a couple of people that claim to smoke because it keeps them warm. Considering what it does to your lungs, I reckon that's a steep price to pay for warmth but to each their own, I say.

I'd recommend a hot cup of tea or just water to anyone that smokes to stay warm. Then again, I'm not a doctor and I drink alcohol that wrecks my liver, so it's not like I'm a saint.

I wish alcohol actually keeps me warm. I'd have been gulping large amounts right now. I've convinced myself that spirits like whiskey actually warm my insides but in reality, all they do is give me a buzz. A nice and highly recommended buzz.

Anyway, the whole talk about warmth is as a result of the sore throat and flu that's pervaded my immune system. I feel sick but not sick enough to take a sick leave.

I've had to drink quite a lot of tea, in the past few days. I feel horrible for the most part but have just about enough energy to go about my day.

I'm avoiding the chemist because medication for the flu makes you feel even worse than the flu does. I just have to stay warm.

There has always been a stigma about people that smokes than people that drinks and I understand - social construct. From my research, alcohol does a lot of harm to you than smoking depends on what you smoke though.
This doesn’t go without saying smoking is bad.
