The Hardfork and why you should build on Hive

All the details about the next Hardfork is already public and a simple Google search will show you all you need to know. One thing I can say for sure is that things are looking good.

Other than the usual optimisation and stability related upgrades, there have been some new additions, if you may, to the hive Blockchain.

The recent upgrade, as I prefer to call it, will see changes in the HBD-Hive haircut jumping from 10% to 30% range. We'll also see some changes to how resource credit works and this will in turn, give us a better way to manage our hive power.

I've not looked too deep into the details about the Hardfork but one thing I know for certain is that this change in the resource credit side is that this will most likely open up a smaller pool of revenue generation that one should be looking into leveraging.

No hive downtime

It's amazing how Hive has somehow gone under the radar despite all the failings of the so called ETH killers. The way I see it, many of these overpriced assets of barely functioning blockchains will eventually get found out but that's a story for another day.

On hive, we have a reliable and efficient Blockchain that is home to what is probably the most played Blockchain game in crypto space.

Other than Splinterlands that is home to at least one million playing accounts and has registered over a billion unique transactions since creation, hive had a ton of other very active applications.

When it comes to raw activity, it's hard to find a blockchain that has actual activity as much as hive. Forget about random clicks from bots and trades on Dexes, Hive has actual people using the chain.

It's not just gimmicks and bottled up numbers, it's real humans using a variety of applications. To be specific, it is real humans using Hive to interact with each other through a variety of tokenised social front-ends on the chain.

Over the years, hive has also proven to be a very reliable network for building applications. Again, it's not just the fact that Splinterlands has seamlessly run on the chain, which as you know, is a huge success; it is because of the immense quality of the network.

When you build on hive, you're building on a blockchain that offers you reliable service for any sort of applications.

When you build on Hive, you're building on a network that is home to one of the most successful Blockchain games of all time.

When you build on Hive, you're building on the home of Leofinance, Peakd, 3Speak and a lot of other social front ends that are constantly creating value for users.

Hive enables you to build pretty much any type of application of your choice and the best part is that there's a very active community on the network that you could use as a barometer to test the pressure of your project.

All I'm saying is that you should build on hive because it is one of the best networks you can actually build on that assures you seamless service, community and reliable service.

Without a doubt, it's a big plus that Hive more or less comes with a "built-in audience," far more so than other venues.

Building on Hive is a certain way to ensure your future...I'm pretty much looking forward to this upgrade and what new opportunities it presents...Hive would soon get found out soon and it'll be harder then to build...so now's the time...
